Hacking Switch Update 5.0.0 Released

Switch 4.1.0 here, CAN play Splatoon 2 online without any problem (using url filtering with my modem, i think that the famous dns doesn't let you play online)
So i will.be fine at least till splatoon 2 gets updated (or maybe it just updates as I can update games while blocking updates but that was when my 4.1 was the lastest firmware now with 5.0 released it may ask for update)
whatever i still have a new game plus xenoblade 2 waiting for me :9

There is usually a short grace period where you can still access some online before getting forced to update. You have about a week, if that.

oh really ? i haven't heard about anything really but in the worst case scenario I'm pretty happy with my wii u being an excellent emulator console so doesnt care if if the end i cant get homebrew on switch :9

eh they will have emunand before smash so theres no reason to update smash its likely coming out late this year.

It's good but you'll probably need to have a lot of patience because it will be the latest fw to get the good stuff, probably even next year. Except if Team Xecuter decides to finally release their chip.

• I can choose from 24 new ARMS and Yoshi icons
• I won't be able to get homebrew

If I don't update:

• I can be able to get homebrew on my Switch when an exploit for 4.1.0 comes out

Even if they make an emunand they will still likely be stuck at that firmware. New updates are usually encrypted and and if the newer firmware doesnt have a working exploit (or the developers have managed to calculate the private signing keys) that firmware cant be decrypted an made to run. In short all you people with such hype about emunand are in for an unpleasant suprise if these developers dont have any way to decrypt the 5.0 kernel.

Hi guys. My Switch is on 4.1.0 and have DNS set to Manual for update blocking. Anyway, I purchased and pre-installed Kirby last week, but worried about being able to play it this Friday on release day. When I click on icon, it connects to internet to check release date. With DNS set to Manual for update blocking, what should I do? Doesn't the Manual DNS for update blocking also blocks any connection to internet? Should I be worried about not being able to play Kirby? I don't want to update to 5.0... Thoughts and help appreciated

I say this but if what they are saying abiut the tegra exploit they have is true non of this will be a problem....

It's unlikely that all of their exploit chain is patched. Even if this is the case, most devs have a backup that they haven't even talked about yet. We won't know until they do their testing, tell us what's patched, and one of them gives the obligatory cryptic tweet about playing in the firmware. The last part is /s

Which URLs you've blocked in detail? I would do them same than. Thank you!
