Nope, didn't test this - also I probably wont run Zelda OOT on the Switch OC longterm, at least not long enough to be really bothered by the remaining small amount of audio crackle.
Those pseudonyms we are writing here under, are there to provide a little interpersonal distance. So we dont have to always operate on real live social interaction standards - we can try out some concepts, overshoot a little (which we always do in a medium where there is only text to work with) and there is still this small barrier of not attacking the other person personally, at least not with ever lasting social ramifications.
Its not that I have to be slowly moved to understand the benefits of polite social interaction either - its actually my personal default, because I like to find out what people are about - or what they think.
Its just my personal experience, that if you dont put in any guidelines (cant be a whole paragraph of text - has to be maybe a three word phrase
), under community standards where everyone is encouraged to access "for free", has pseudonymity - and first and formost wants to be supported, this results in an exploitative default.
I've co-led communities that where destroyed by a popularity swing because of a product managers marketing campaign - where places all of a sudden where swamped with people trying to get others to read them a manual - but only the parts which the currently were concerned with. People turned sour, this never went away - and when the marketing push went - there were maybe a handful of hardcores left, to talk amongst themselves.
I've also seen the opposite thing. Communities with people (not me) actually insisting, that there should be any standard of participation that was somewhere above the ground floor - and they were exiled, with the community remaining a veritable "what I feel is right", and "thank you so much for sharing" lovefest, that produced no extrinsic value from then on out.
I kind of play a role in here, that sometimes can get you consumed - I admit, that I dont necessarily want to play (and certainly not every day), but that I think that is somewhat necessary.
I also acknowledge, that what I want to get out of this forum, and what a typical support requester might want - are diametrically opposed things.
I slept very well last night, thank you for asking, but - interpersonal distance through pseudonyms.
We don't ask every one of the several thousand participants, how they slept - for a reason.
(Probably, because growing up in the facebook default of social interaction on the web, they would self optimize the answer anyways..
)
