  1. If you updated to firmware 10.0 without AutoRCM or CFW, you most likely burned fuses so you cannot boot your console normally while on firmware 9.2
  2. No because Nintendo expects your console to be on firmware 10.0 not 9.2.
Thanks again for your fast reply.
So now what could I do to play my official games online again? Should I update with ChoiDujourNX to 10.0.0? Or am I just screwed for now?

my switch is on 9.1 but new games wont install and i would like to know if i can play the newer games without updating firmware and if so how?
cuurently using kosmos defaults from sdsetup.

You can try to install games with ignore firmware requirements. If that doesn‘t work you can try to patch the games with lower keys. But the best option is to update to 9.2.0 if a game really requires that firmware. 9.2.0 works fine with atmosphere and SX OS.

Either use ChoiDujourNX or perform a local game update with another Switch running firmware 10.0

Where did you download your Hekate from?

Do you mean emuMMC and sysMMC?

Yes they can play locally and Stealth mode blocks all communications with Nintendo.

Reformat the SD card to FAT32.
Yeah, I'm playing animal crossing on Sys, but when I try to play on Emu, it acts as if my save isn't there. This is the only game that does this, as all my other games load my save just fine.

Is it possible to run NSPs with atmosphere on 10.0? I read that there are already sigpatches but i just want to confirm if its safe to update.

I dont use emunand or anything, i just update with chujodoir with autoRCM on.

Thanks

I have a switch with 5.1 firmware (niece had it so long time since it was updated) along with an sxos pro dongle. I'd like to update it to play new games like animal crossing but haven't kept up to date with switch exploits, firmwares etc. I haven't a back up of the nand either as far as I know. Can anyone provide guidance on what I need to do to update it?

Cheers

If you made emuMMC before starting Animal Crossing, the save was not copied over and has to be copied over manually.

I'm looking to get cfw on my switch, but I am using these guides:

start: https://switch.homebrew.guide/
cfw files: https://sdsetup.com/

Seems they haven't been updated with the new releases for 10.0.

Do they usually get updated promptly after a fw release or will I have to wait a while?
That guide uses a package called Kosmos to setup the user with CFW which has not been updated to support firmware 10.0.

Firmware 10.0 is not stable enough to update for CFW or homebrew.

I don't know of any guides for SX OS (aside from the ones posted on their site) but you can update your firmware with the homebrew application ChoiDujourNX.

Howdy, I'm having an issue with consistent ingame crashes after updating my Switch to version 10.0.0.

I did a clean update of Atmosphere (deleting relevant folders first) and I'm using the latest Hekate, with AutoRCM enabled.

Now after anywhere from 5-10 minutes ingame I'm getting crashes; "The software was closed because an error occurred."

This is only happening in "heavier" games like Animal Crossing and Zelda BOTW, I can play Tetris 99 all I want with no error. For reference, Animal Crossing is on cartridge, Zelda BOTW and Tetris 99 are downloaded.

(My SD is formatted as exFAT, as I type this I'm backing up everything on it to reformat as FAT32, but I never had issues like this before updating so I'm unsure it's a corruption problem.)

Edit: Formatted as FAT32 and no issues.

Yes, if your SysNAND is clean, you can use it for online play.

Is there a way to make savestates for switch games like can do for emulators?
For managing saves you can either use Checkpoint or JKSV.

By Sysnand, you mean boot into RCM, inject Hekate, and then launch into the first one, which is sysnand? and just use a cart to play is fine?

Question, so the idea of using emunand is to run the switch off the sd card instead of system memory so that you can update the console (on sd card) and leave system at a low version? When booted off an sd card with emunand setup, do you just update normally or you HAVE to use ChoiDejourNX to do it?

I have a hacked Switch on Auto RCM. Is there an easy way to delete an update nag?

I see a lot of people suggest going into maintenance mode. Is this possible with a Switch set on Auto RCM?

Never mind! I figured it out! You need to go to Hekate, and launch stock, and then hit up and down volume.
