On yuzu there is the ability to switch from docked to handheld mode, and vice versa. Using ryubing, a fork of Ryujinx, and can’t find the option to change this setting. Is it not possible?

I've been banging my head on the wall for 3 days. I have a Fully working 200GB SD card with Atmosphere 1.8.0 and Firmware 19.0.1. When I backup the emuMMC following the switch hacks guide and move the files over to a 1TB SD and then restore the emuMMC again as per the guide. Nothing will launch when booting from the 1TB. it boots but I get the This software cant run error message and can't even run the homebrew menu. Any ideas? There are 2 emuMMC Partitions on the old SD card but there only seems to be one emuMMC is there any way to tell for sure?

Are you using RAW Partition based EmuNAND or File based one?

Well no answer but I am almost sure you are missing some part of the migration of data from a card to a new one

https://switch.hacks.guide/extras/transfer_sd.html

if you are using a raw nand partition you can use EmuTool to backup it and restore in another card https://gbatemp.net/threads/emutool...r-sd-switch-emu-type-on-sxos-and-more.550756/

Also I do recommand to convert any Raw partition based partition to file based one also using EmuTool

That's the guide I've been following and it is a partition based emuMMC, thanks for that tool I will use that as a backup if this next attempt fails. Thank you for the info!

I do recommend to backup your current EmuNAND to a set of files, then on the new SD card copy that files to SDMC:/emuMMC folder and use Hekate to select that new Emunand File based, you will loose nothing and will gain a very easy backup of your EmuNAND.

https://gbatemp.net/threads/ultimate-guide-to-upgrade-your-firmware-atmosphere.661148/post-10511348

and do not forget to move the nintendo folder to the new emunand folder.

OK so I followed the guide you linked to the letter, backed up the emuMMC partition, transferred everything from the old sd card to the new one, restored the emuMMC, everything completes with out error. I can boot into the emuMMC perfectly. But when I try to launch tinfoil or boot the homeBrew menu I get Unable to start software, return to home menu and try again. i've seen screenshots of a Sys-patch overlay but I haven't found any instructions on how to view that. I'm assuming it's a Sigpatch issue but even recopying the sig-patches and sys-patch does not seem to sort it out.

OK update I figured out the overlay and Sys-patch is showing on and green across the board but still no joy. I did find the system time was wrong and update that. Still no joy.

Under Sysmodules in the overlay I see sys-patch and it's off. If I toggle it on it turns off after about a second.

Looks like it does the same thing on the working SD so that can't be it.

I've read that custom themes can mess with an update. Could they also mess with a transfer, and would it mess it up like this?

yes may be you are missing sys-patch download latest one from https://gbatemp.net/download/sys-patch-sysmodule.38936/ and you can get help about that on https://gbatemp.net/threads/sys-patch-sysmod-that-patches-on-boot.633517/

for overlay you must have Tesla and Overlay Menu (or Ultrahand) working, more information on https://gbatemp.net/threads/tesla-the-nintendo-switch-overlay-menu.557362/page-72#post-10121629

the information of SYS-Patch shown by the overlay is the file sdmc:/config/sys-patch/log.ini

and the config of sys-patch is on the file sdmc:/config/sys-patch/config.ini

I've verified both log.ini files for sys-patch are identical. still no joy

I even tried enabling the CAverification to see if that made a difference but no change.

I've reloaded freash copies of Sys-patch and sig-patches and no change

That is the normal behavior of sys-patches, load at startup, modify the memory and closes.

Nop, they only can cause your console to not load.

Any other ideas? I feel like this should be working but just isn't.

I gave up on the transfer and rebuilt a file based emuMMC from scratch and it's working great.

Hello,
is there a homebrew app that would let me set a playtime limit ?
i tried aylz10/Reset-Parental-Controls-NX from a gh repo

had to recompile it since the latest release doesn't contain what I want. I'm a developer but I have no idea what libnx library and pctl methods do what are the correct arguments. It would take time modify the code of the app from earlier. So I want to know if there's a any homebrew app that does what I want asap.

Thank you

I think I messed up attempting to flash Android onto my Switch. I did the flash, performed the install, and now HOS no longer boots. Says pkg1 not found or something. How bad did I fuck up? Might this be an easy fix or do I have to restore from an old backup? I would hate to lose my progress in certain games I have on emuMMC.

Yep I messed up royally and flashed Android and there wasn't a partition for it. I had one at one time but must've removed it. So now I have Android installed on the root folder and emuMMC not loading up. I tried doing UMS with the emu RAW GPPbut it says "Error mounting SD card!"

Nm tried to restore emuMMC boot0 and boot1, SD card is now corrupted. Looks like I'm starting over.

Hey,

I’ve got a modded Lite, I’m looking to sell it on and I’ve not updated it in a while. I wanted to remove my user account from the OFW side, it wouldn’t let me until I updated the firmware. Stupid I know but I went ahead and done the update, now my CFW won’t boot. Hoping I can fix this with a simple Atmo update?

YES, you should upgrade Atmosphère BEFORE upgrade firmware follow the guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/ultimate-guide-to-upgrade-your-firmware-atmosphere.661148/

Hi! It's been ages, GBAtemp. I can create a forum post in case it is recommended, but I thought I'd try here.

I was experiencing issues with my auto-rcm unpatched Switch and using ftpd, and upgraded the firmware to 19.0.0 sometime after upgrading Atmosphere without issues. I followed switch.hacks.guide to a T for sysCFW and I also installed sigpatches. Everything seems fine and runs okay without crashes since adding the sigpatches from Impeeza, except I cannot install NSPs no matter what method I try--Goldleaf, Awoo, TinWoo, Tinfoil, DBI. No nsp works. I've reformatted the SD to FAT32 twice, reinstalled Atmos, Hekate, and fresh sigpatches. Everything on my SD is fresh, nothing extraneous. Am I missing something essential? Any suggestions?

Error within Goldleaf is a 2002-4058, for reference

Use SYS-Patch Sysmodule, BUT DO NOT UPGRADE TO FW 20 YET.

Thought I'd chuck this here gor any insight as I'm going f****** mental! Trying to upgrade my sd card for migration.

Just tried my second 512gb sandisk sd card purchased from a reputable retailer and both times rufus and sd card formatter has killed them when trying to format to fat32. Windows refuses to see it unless in diskpart where it just throws cannot format or no device errors.

What the actual fuck? The card will show when inserted now however wants fornatted and will not do it! Is there anything else I can try to salvage this and what the fuck is going on with the unable to format errors??

Any and all enlightenment welcome!

You can format it on Hekate, put only hekate on the card, start NYX and format inside hekate.

also after that use H2Testw (you can grab it from download section) to test your card.

Also MiniTool Partition Wizard is your pal.

Should have done that rather than on pc. 🙈Scared to go back for another return now but will give that a go. 👍👍

Edit.... Meant to say thanks!
