@Blythe93 Thank you. I was able to hack my New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U relatively easily, but it seems that Switch is far more complicated unless it is Erista or has a low firmware. The dumps I have on my computer have been shared online and they are nsp/nsz files, so I guess I couldn't use them. I can't access Mig Flash com either. You information is very interesting, though, because I didn't know that a flash cart could work on current Switches. I wonder if once Switch 2 is released, there will be easier ways to hack current Switch systems, including Mariko on current firmware.

Indeed, but as far as software side of it, I believe it's similar for the most part, if not same as far as general user is concerned. It's the hardware part, the modchip installation, which is a bit harder, especially if you have no prior experience with microsoldering or have no reputable, trusted service available where you live.

Yep, it has to be unmodified XCI with its initial data BIN file as well as 3 order certificate BIN files.

I can't access Mig Flash com either.
Yep, it's been offline for a couple of days, maybe even a week or so. Still accessible via archive.org, though, in case you need something.

Yep, it works on all Switches, regardless of firmware or Switch model.

Remains to be seen. :)

I tried updating my Emummc with daybreak and now have the attached screen when trying to boot into Custom FW, is there a way to fix whatever I have screwed up or do I need to re do my Emummc, I have faced this screen a long time ago previously but cant remember how I sorted it.

Steve

I tried to put a breath of the wild switch mod on my switch but it does not have a romfs folder. instead it has 6: "actor" "event" "map" "model" "pack" and "ui". when i put that in the romfs folder that mod still won`t work. How do i install that mod?

is there any way to get hactool to display the titleid from an xci?

edit - should probably clarify -- i'm hoping to do it without doing an --outdir flag, but if that is necessary that would be good to know

Does it have to be while using hactool? Nxfileviewer displays title and build IDs for nsp, nsz, xci files.

i use nxfileviewer when i'm on windows, but this is for a project i'm working on that is on linux that i access through ssh, so there isn't a gui that i can work and the only cli tool i've found that works really well/reliably/fast is hactool

Hey, am new to switch modding, it's been couple days since got my -edit-"switch lite" modded.
I tried to boot into OFW, and installed a game from eshop, now when I restart my switch it doesn't boot into hekate (autoload is disabled), and neither hekate boot animation is not showing, the switch immediately shows (Nintendo) then (Nintendo Switch) boot screens.
thanks in advance

edit: i fixed it by replacing the modchip, i think the problem was within the modchip itself

You will need to insert a jig in the right joycon slot on switch, then power on by pressing vol+ & power at the same time, screen will stay black, now plug Switch USB to Pc USB and use app called TegraRCMgui to push the Hekate.bin payload.

It's switch lite sorry for confusion, and I already injected the payload, I've been using the CFW for a week, but yesterday I booted into OFW, and then this happened.

Yea sounds like the Dat0 connection has came loose, but I'd wait till @Hayato213 responds, he will know better.

Does sound like dat0 problems where the chip stop glitching.

Hey guys, i don't know what happened but i need your help. I have a softmodded V1 switch for 2 years. Recently i let it run out of battery and it went back to OFW. No big problem, i went back to RCM mode, sent the hekate payload using TegraRCM, it opened Hekate and i launched emummc.
But it didn't launch successfully. The display just went off, it doesn't turn on and it's not on RCM (i tried to plug again on my computer to see if i could send the payload but TegraRCM doesn't even recognize it anymore.
Any ideas? Did i brick my console somehow?
