Can anyone please advise? My 17.0 version 1 switch froze completely in-game today in my Emummc so had to do a hard reset. I now find if booting to either stock or launching atmosphere through injected Hekate I can get no further than the start up logos before a black screen. Tried updating to latest atmosphere/Hekate/fusee but no difference. I have a NAND backup from 2020 but is that even any use now or is my device totally bricked? I can use Hekate fine and payloads like TegraExplorer but not sure what to do. If my NAND is any good I don't have space on my SD to fit it. Not sure how to delete games if I can't get into Atmosphere though.

Are you using the latest payloads? I saw you mentioned NXLoader elsewhere, which is bundled with outdated payloads you need to update manually.

Recently i wanted to play animal crossing online with some mods (like Luna) in the homebrew menu in the CFW sysMMC, but i can’t because the nintendo server al locked with 90dns.
So i was wondering if there any method to disable the 90dns to play online in CFW sysMMC and if its possible to maintain the server blocked in the CFW emuMMC.
Since emuMMC and sysMMC behave like two different consoles, you can leave the 90DNS block on the emuMMC, while disabling it on sysMMC. Disabling it is simple, just revert your WiFi's DNS connection settings on sysMMC from manual to automatic and you'll no longer be blocking Nintendo servers. You can also use DNS MITM instead of 90DNS in order to block Nintendo servers. Check here for more info.

I'm not sure if using Luna is safe, but I've seen other people using it in the NHSE thread so maybe you can ask there for more info about how to use Luna and not get banned.

Know that there's always a risk of getting banned, no matter how small it is. Here are some tips on how to avoid getting banned.
To begin with, you must own the legit copy of the Animal Crossing and, as far as I know, you need an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to visit other people's islands in dreams via Luna. Also, if you plan on restoring a dumped island to one of your saves, make sure that you use it on emuMMC, not sysMMC, as I'm not sure if Animal Crossing: New Horizons falls into "modifying saves in online games" ban category.

Thank you so much for the advices

Yes i have bought a digital copy of ACNH and a online subscription

I already ask some questions on the NHSE thread and i find out that people use the Luna mod to bump dream island on the sysMMC connect to the nintendo server, so i guess is kinda safe

And yes of course i’ll read some online articles to avoid being banned

Yes, I use NXLoader on my phone but with the latest Hekate (can't confirm if my switch is 17.0 or 17.1 since can't boot) and have Tegra gui on my PC. Have wondered if some sort of boot loop so have totally drained the battery but now finding I can't charge it at all. Have tested with just the AC adapter with no joy cons and if I try a USB cable in my wall the device shows the empty battery icon with charging symbol but I understand a low charge can damage the device so unplugged it.

Hi, I've bought an unpatched switch and I'm going to put Atmosphere/ Hekate on it. I've done all this before last year on an older switch so no questions there.

Quick question though before I mod it, should I update to the latest Nintendo Firmware before starting? Just thought I'd check just in case there's any danger in downloading the latest version. Thanks

Should be no problem. If you plan to use the Switch to play online, do create an emuNand for your CFW needs. Also, before doing anything, make a Nand backup and store it on your computer for safekeeping.

I've a question on Nand backups. I've a problem with my Switch not booting past Nintendo at stock (will then show battery indicator then black screen) or when selecting Atmosphere once I inject Hekate (logos then black screen). Trying to work out if replacing my battery will fix this as have overclocked my old one the last 6 years or if, as I can access Hekate at least, make a new Nand backup for my 17.0 switch (I have a NAND from 2020 right now) but I dont have enough space on micro SD. Should I delete my title folders from my SD card to free up space via my PC? Concerned if deleting my games in this way would mean the Nand is corrupt somehow.

Hello.

I just ordered the migswitch, I have a few questions.

My nintendo switch firmware is 17.0.1, should I update to the latest firmware (18.1.0) before I start using the migswitch?

If I create an offline profile to play games with the migswitch only can I get banned?

I don't play online anymore but if I use my profile linked to nintendo to update the console can I get banned?

Thank you.

You can get back using the mig switch if you don't have certificate for your games you use with the mig switch.

An offline profile is not enough to prevent bans in itself, since the switch will likely still connect to some online servers in the game, for example to download leader boards in some games.
If you just want to use your own backups on the mig switch including their certificate data and so on, it might be safe to just use it with sysnand/sysMMC cfw.
If you want to also run backups you haven't created yourself on the mig switch, you need to make sure you are not connecting to nintendo, so either by fully blocking their servers, or by using an offline emunand/emuMMC which would probably be safer.
If you want to also install backups or homebrew to the system menu via xci or nsp files, then you need an offline emunand/emuMMC. Game nps themself don't always lead to a ban, but they can potentially lead to one either by bad luck or mistakes. Homebrew isntalled to the switch menu via nsps, xcis or installer will very likely lead to bans when used on a nand that conencts online, even when only using them offline. This is why its best to use an emunand/emuMMC when you install anything to the system.
If you just want to use the mig for backups from other sources and CFW only for homebrew in the officially supported homebrew format (so loading it via album or by holding R when starting another application), you might get away without an emunand/emuMMC and just blocking servers when playing games you didn't dump yourself, but its likely still better to use an offline emunand/emuMMC.

Also best always first update CFW with atmosphere and hekate, then update the System version, since otherwise it will likely not boot until you update CFW or boot into stock without rcm payloads.

#1 After consulting chatgpt (lol) can I add a script to delete ertps_reports before loading emummc?
#2 Is there a specific way I am suppose to launch tinfoil or is it normal to freeze for long, long periods of time?

Lol chatgpt
lol yup lol

```
[Delete ERPT Reports]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
kip1=atmosphere/kips/*.kip
emummcforce=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp
#Just adding this below
[Script to delete ERPT Reports]
path=bootloader/scripts/cleanup.ini
Butttt my consultant is far from accurate all of the time lol. So, I figured I would ask.
