Reinstalling the games would not be a problem. I definitely need the save games, though.

When I mentioned making a backup, I only meant that I had made one from the emunand yesterday.

Can't I just format the hidden partition and directly restore the backup from yesterday?
Maybe the emunand will be repaired that way.

I still recommend making another backup before we do anything. I like to play it safe so we can get back to current state if need be.

You can restore the backup right over the top of the current emunand using Hekate. Simply move the backup files to the restore directory under /backups/<emmcID>/restore/ directory and use Hekate to overwrite the emunand using the restore process. it’s a little tedious but you’ll be able to fully recover all your game saves from the ashes and that’s what counts.

Hi, there
i got a very strange problem
when i install DLC the installer will informed invalid nca signature detected
but there is no problem to install game
If I continue to install the DLC,it always shows Unable to start software. Return to the HOME Menu and try again. then restart game, the file shows corrupted

Possibly corrupt DLC? Have you tried installing from a different source or a different game + DLC altogether to test some scenarios?

Did you make sure to create the full 29GB partition of emuMMC and made sure to create emuMMC after making the partition for it? I never ran into that error before, but that could be one of the reasons why it's not finding that partition.

yes, i used this emunand for years now.. never had a problem.
maybe i should try a restore with nxNandManager

EDIT:

OMG I fixed the issue.
After restoring the emunand with the rawnand.bin in NandManager 5.0, i now can boot into the system again. Very nice!

When I dock my Switch, I noticed that the screen of the Switch itself isn't turned off completely. Nothing is displayed on the Switch screen (cause the TV is doing that), but you can see that the screen is active like the backlight is on or a black screen is output on the Switch screen. Does anyone know why that is? And more importantly, how do I ensure that the screen is completely shut down while docked? I mean, the screen should have no business being active in any way when hooked up to the TV.

I can't say for sure if it's got anything to do with my recent update to the latest firmware (with CFW and everything else) because I can't remember for sure if this was the case before the update back on firmware 11. What I do notice is that when the screen burn-in reduction kicks in after five minutes (reduced screen brightness after 5 minutes of inactivity), the Switch's screen also mirrors this by the backlight(?) or black pixels (not true OLED or powered-off black, mind you!) reducing in brightness or actually shutting down.

You must put it in to Sleep mode before docking, or else it will just stay on and broadcast out to tv. Or obv on the TV screen, put it into sleep mode. Switch should then stay off/ black screen.
When placed in dock after putting it into sleep mode, it will light up shortly and show the charge icon on top left of switch screen, but should go off after few secs.

Depends what payload is update.bin is, if it is fusee.bin, it would boot into atmosphere

Damn, never would have guessed that. Thanks for explaining this. Putting it to sleep before docking worked. Haven't checked putting it to sleep while docked, but I'll try that out as well.

This may be an odd question but I registered just to ask here. The Nintendo Switch has 5 available save spots for controller remapping. Does anyone know where these save to and if a hacked Switch has access to it?

With Nintendo Switch Online N64 games, I find that the only way to remap the buttons for the N64 games is through the settings to change joycon/pro controller maps. But you can only do this 5 times and after using CaVE Database Manager to add a lot of the N64 games I like to play, I find that I need about 6 or 7 maps. This is not possible. So I was hoping we had access to them so we could swap them out by renaming them using NX-Shell or something similar. Maybe even a homebrew that can allow you to save more than 5 and quickly swap between them would be faster even. But if we cannot even access them then the whole idea is no good anyway.

So can we?

Did some searching and it a lot of people are aware you can remap the controller in settings. But if anyone knew where settings saves them nobody has said. I looked myself but all I found were NCA files.

I just updated to newest Atmosphere and to firmware 14.1.0, I also updated Tinfoil and Nut 3.3. Now when I try to use USBFS, it freezes. I can use USB but it is not organized like USBFS. I searched and see other people are having the same issue but no resolutions. Can someone please advise if there is fix for this? Thanks.

You have autoboot set to 1 in your hekate_ipl.ini file. it‘s doing exactly what it’s being told.

Here’s an experiment that I did in my /config/fastCFWSwitch/config.ini to get the effect I think you’re after.

I created an entry that boots Hekate with id=dead

The dead ID doesn’t actually exist so it boots Hekate and stops in its tracks, because it can’t find that ID. Perfect boot into Hekate.

Just curious here.. How many fuses does the Switch hold in total. I mean if we are at 17 burned fuses on retail 15.0.1, just exactly how many fuses are in it, yet to be burned? Could this be the "end of life" for original Switch when the last fuse is burned?

hi all, i hope someone can help me..
I have installed the latest versions of atmosphere (1.4.1) and hetake (6.0.1), when I enter RCM and start the hetake payload, I go to launch and start Atmosphere FSS0 EmuMMC, I get a red message: Error loading g fss0 : bad atmosphere/package3 ini cfg or missing/corrupt files!

informed and I read that from a macbook when files are downloaded it may be that the download of the files is dirty, as a macos user I will have had this type of problem.
my question is how do i know if the files have been downloaded successfully? I uninstalled and re-downloaded them but the problem persists
if I can see the sources of the individual files I can see if my computer has changed anything during the download; thank you in advance for your time.

Since you are using a Mac, its more than likely you aren't missing files but rather the Archive Bit has been applied to the CFW which is causing the error. The solution is simple. Simply boot up Hekate and navigate to Tools. You should see one that revolves around removing the Archive Bit. Run it once then try booting CFW again.

If your console was manufactured after June 2018, it is what we consider in the scene to be "patched". That is because all Switches after that point were made to be immune the most common and best exploit currently available called Fusee Gelee. According to this thread (which you should read as the serial number is used to estimate whether a console is patched or not), any serial number starting with XKJ is a Mariko, not marika. Therefore your unit is patched. Your only option is to solder a modchip inside which is something that a noob should not perform. If you want to have a modchip installed inside to hack your console, you will not only have to buy the modchip but also find someone else to solder it for you.

Since migrating to Atmosphere I have tried a few times and was hoping the recent 2.9 version would work with my 15.0.1 AMS/E setup. But no luck. Consistently get the 'Software closed because an error occurred' pop up when opening.

fwiw I have had the NES and SNES "Offline" nsps up and running for quite a while with no problems (except a pop up when closing them). These are those modded versions with extra roms with some character popping out of the controllers on the icon. Never had a problem with linked accounts or whatever so never needed Linkaho.

Any ideas appreciated!

Do you have the patches to launch .NSP files? If not, these are required to run any pirated or dumped content. You can download the patches from this thread.
