It flashes blue, then it turns solid green, and then it turn off. I don't know exactly what my switch firmware (since I don't see an option to boot into the OWF), but I assume its a more recent one.

I was referring to the chip firmware. Are you certain it’s not flashing purple first? Since this came from HWFLY you should check the firmware and make sure everything is responding properly w/ the chip and upgrade to latest if applicable.

Side note: still not sure why you had to add boot.dat. Did you used to have SXOS installed?

I bought this one if it helps

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mtvZ2N6

It's look like blue
Yes, I checked it out. It’s HWFLY so we should make sure it’s on latest FW. Please see GitHub link above for instructions on how to use it.

Also might need to completely format your SDCard and start from scratch. Something strange about what’s happening. Don;t know what but formatting to FAT32 unbootable with a 32k block size w/ rufus will put us in a good starting spot.

This is what it says when I try to update it the preferred way

If I didn't add the boot.dat file the switch would be stuck on this

The preferred way? Need more information than that please.

What specifically did you download and run to get the Spacecraft-NX error?

The fact that we’re seeing anything related to SXOS is concerning. We need to get the firmware updated on this chip.

When I say the preferred way I mean the first way on github that says "Method a) - Using USB bootloader (preferred)"

I ran flash.bat when my switch was off and plugged into the computer.

Much appreciated. You plugged one end into the computer, where did you plug the other end? The Switch?

The other end of the USB cable needs to go into the chip. There should be a small USB cable (circled in red in picture below) that needs to be inserted into the chip with the correct orientation or you will damage the chip. The USB cable will power the chip so make sure you Switch is off. Hopefully your PC will be able to see the chip and we will be able to upgrade the firmware.

I didn't install the chip (I paid someone to do it). How hard it it to access that part of the chip? I can take the back of the switch off, but it would make me nervous to take it apart more then that.

Did your installer give you the little USB cable or mention it at all?

IMO it’s not that hard, but you will need a tri-wing (proprietary Ninty) screwdriver (in addition to a JIS or a Philips head screwdriver in a pinch).

Going back to the beginning of things, where did you get your SDCard and did you format it yourself or did your installer give it to you?

Check System Settings Sleep Mode and change it to something more suitable for your needs.

I'm a little scared to touch anything other than the Sleep Mode (which I checked, and it is correctly set) about this, since I finally got the rest of the Switch back to usable.

The Switch still loves to go immediately into a black screen flicker to sleep mode immediately after launching Atmosphere. I Googled it and found several other Reddit posts mentioning this happening to other people since late 2021 or so. I haven't found anyone discuss some sort of reason for it happening or any solution.

He didn't. He said if I had any questions that I should feel free to ask him.

I'll see how far I can get until I chicken out.

I got it a long time ago. I was able to play all of fire emblem three houses that was (legally) downloaded to the card.

Your card likely had SXOS on it and you probably have an old payload.bin file in the top level of your SDCard.

Go through this section of the guide I sent earlier:

https://rentry.org/MarikoEmuNAND

Pay very close attention to step 2.

Step 2.
Rename hekate_ctcaer_x.x.x.bin to payload.bin.

hello, if my switch ofw and emunand were at 15.0.0 and i were to update to ofw 15.0.1. what would i need to do to the emunand?

Nothing. Emunand and Sysnand are independent of each other and the 15.0.1 update was a minor update that didn’t change the functionality of the switch at all.

If you want to upgrade your emunand just for fun you would download the FW from that Darthsternie firmware site and use Daybreak.nro to update your emunand.

I'm pretty sure I did step 2 correctly.

This is the root of the sd card

There is absolutely nothing in your files that would point you at an SXOS payload requiring boot.dat.

We need to get the firmware on your chip updated to the latest to eliminate it as an issue.
I managed to get most of the screws out out, but I'm starting to strip the ones underneath the joy cons. I wait until the person who installed the mod chip replies to me.
