Format the SD card to FAT32.

I did that a short while ago. Booting it up again, it lets me get a litter further. The Nintendo logo shows up, but after that I get an error screen.

Update: Tried the entire process yet again and it all seems to be working now. Why? Not sure, but I'll take it.
Thanks

It's as simple as following this guide: https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/
If you have any issues hacking your switch, you can ask here again.

You will always risk a ban when going online with a hacked Switch.

Everytime i load up Edizon, i keep getting an error for all games saying "No config for this game was found. Editing is disabled". can someone help me please? everything is updated and IDs are up to date

My sd card stopped working so I've had to replace it.
Obvs all info on it lost.
I have made a new file system using the hack/CW website.
Now, most games say cannot play, download missing software... but then connection fails no matter what network I try (began with dns hack and then moved to my actual connections)
What can I do to fix this?

Btw some games like katamari work still.

Please help.

I'm a bit confused regarding the current situation with firmware 10.0

My switch runs 9.2 with atmosphere via Kosmos.
I use my switch to install NSPS on my sd-card (no emunand) via Goldleaf and play games via retroarch.

I read that some games and functions might no work anymore due to some issue with the FS and ES patches.

I would like to upgrade my console to 10.0 and still be able to use the features i described. I would proceed as follows:

  • put the latest Kosmos/AMS package on my SD card
  • start the system with the lates fusee payload
  • update Firmware to 10.0 via ChoiDojouur (my switch is a offline console)
  • remove all old kip patches and efs patches
  • put the FS and Acid patches, which the user Haruko released on my sd card
would that be the correct way?

I'm wondering the same thing. Also can't we just use SD setup?

Is there a way to keep Hekate from loading CFW sysNAND when it fails to load CFW emuNAND?
This is such a dumb thing. Now I have to restore to a clean sysNAND.

Is there a way to easily switch from a clean SysNAND and my EmuNAND without having to restore a clean backup of SysNAND? Also what do the options under Launch in Hekate mean?

Also is this true? That I have to format my MicroSD card to ExFat and then restore the backup instead of having it in the Fat32 format?

Did you do a slow and full format or a quick format to Fat32?

I do. Everything worked fine before the nsp install failed
Went ahead and put new patches in anyways. Still getting a black screen
I think you're going to have to reinstall the games.

Are they pirated or legitimate?

Don't update to firmware 10.0. Many things are still unstable and no games require it.

Unfortunately there is not.

Assuming your sysMMC is clean, you do not have to restore a backup unless you run CFW/homebrew on it. And the launch options in Hekate are pretty self-explanatory. Lastly, that post is outdated as I believe it was made before Hekate had split NAND restore support. You do not need to combine the files into one and use an exFAT sd card; you can keep them in parts and use FAT32.

Hi all, I'd like to ask a question about SD card issue.

I've been running Atmosphere with emunand enabled on Sandisk 200GB formatted in fat32. I had no problem so far with it.

Yesterday I tried to copy a large archive of files to SD via my PC, but there was a connection issue and the work failed halfway. I just gave up and deleted the leftover files.

Since then the switch refuses to recognize the SD displaying error 2016-0247. I don't think the switch SD reader is broken or the SD itself is damaged as Hekate still shows emunand and I can boot to it. It's just the standard partition the switch seems to having trouble reading it.

I've tried everything from scanning/repairing the card, rechecking archive bits, to backing up the contents and reformatting the partition, to no avail. Is there a way for me to salvage the situation?

Since my previous question was left unanswered I'd like to update some additional information and rephrase my question.

My microSD is obviously fine. When I boot to sysnand the switch easily recognizes the primary partition and free space. Hekate also properly loads files stored in SD. It's only when I completely boot to emunand the switch fails to access SD and displays error 2016-0247. I can see that I've successfully booted into emunand since the games I've installed are still there and I haven't touched sysnand from day one.

I've tried disabling/reenabling/migrating emunand in Hekate which all had no effect. I considered formatting the entire card to rebuild the emunand from scratch and install everything again which is fine by me, but I won't be able to salvage my saves stored in emunand in that way which is a big no-no.

So...

1. Is there a way to backup saves without using tools ran under homebrew menu such as Edizon or Checkpoint? I can open HB menu in emunand, but it shows no homebrews as atmosphere can't access the switch folder in SD. Something like PC-based save management tool would be really helpful.

2. I presume the issue lies in emunand portion as both sysnand and Hekate can access the card and the issue only arises after emunand is loaded. However I don't know how could this happen when booting into emunand works fine. Could files in emummc folder of primary partition, not the hidden emummc partition, be the cause of the issue? Any idea?

3. Also, if this is not the proper place to get answered of this, where should I go?
