I am trying to mod a Switch Lite, but I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I have tried multiple chips, tried replacing all of the flex cables, resoldering to alternate points, but nothing. Regardless of what I do this is what happens; no blue light on the modchip, the switch starts booting and then the chip flashes yellow twice (RST not connected).
I have redone and checked my soldering multiple times, but I cannot seem to get it to work. Here are the measured diode values of my points:
A = 0.44
B = 0.38
C = 0.42
D = 0.59
3.3V = 2.3V
I did find it strange that the 3.3V point was reading so low, especially because I measure 3.3V on the actual rail. I thought it might be a bad cable (or 5...) and just used a jumper wire directly from the rail to the board. Doing this does give me a blue light now but still the same error code. Using a jumper wire from the B point (RST) gives me the same error.
Any help at all would be really appreciated, I am not sure what else to try next.
