So I just got in. Tried to turn my switch on using the Volume up and power on buttons well as holding down just the power button for 10 seconds then tapping it-nothing.

I inserted the jig and Dongle too-still nothing.

When I plug in the charging cable nothing shows on screen and when it goes into the dock, the light on the side flashes for 1 second then turns off.

Im at a total loose end

EDIT:

I got it working, looks like my dongle battery had died.Charged it up and its all working again-phew!

Is it ok to take my Switch outta flight mode to update SX OS?

Heres an odd one-put a few NRO format apps on the root of my SD card, the only one that boots and seems to work is JKSAV. All the others (Tinfoil,Edizon,Checkpoint) crash and I get a 2345-0031 error

There’s been a recent update to the Switch apparently. Will this affect my system and Homebrew? If so...what do I do? Are there any links to help install Homebrew for this latest update?

So i have a hackable switch on 6.2. I have the sd files and stuff for atmosphere CFW and can run it. But what exactly does it do? If i get banned when im running atmosphere if i reboot my switch am i banned on the normal sysnand? If i install some hombrew file on the switch menu in atmosphere dies it still show up in normal sysnand?

Atmosphere doesn't have EmuNAND support so SysNAND is shared between CFW and OFW. An even easier way to think about is all Atmosphere does is patch SysNAND. And anything done in CFW will persist in OFW because SysNAND is shared between the two.

Is there any CFW that supports emynand currently or no? and if i were to install retroarch on my swith can i be banned or no?

SX OS is currently the only CW that supports EmuNAND but it is also the only CFW that doesn't support firmware 6.2 (among other things). And you can be banned for hacking your Switch, plain and simple. If you want to get technical, you shouldn't be banned for anything done in RCM as that is triggered before the NAND but any CFW or homebrew usage can and will get you flagged.

Are there ways to prevent getting flagged?

The only way is by making a clean hack-free NAND backup with Hekate, staying 100% offline with all CFW/homebrew/hacks (or using a DNS server to block all connection), then restoring that NAND backup prior to going online. You will also have to make subsequent NAND backups as you cannot restore the same NAND backup more than once to prevent a ban.

hack free means that ive never ran atmosphere before or homebrew or does it mean like i never installed any titles?

Hack-free as in you never ran any CFW or homebrew. RCM payloads shouldn't taint the NAND as, explained previously, they are ran before the NAND so there is theoretically no way for the system to detect them.
