Backwards compatibility when?
Also inb4 what the chances this FW get hacked

Good luck running games designed with an IBM PPC CPU to work on a machine that uses an ARM Tegra X1-based CPU without having to convert machine code. But yeah, in your dreams.B-)

Use your Wii U or CEMU for Wii U games.

But, we NEED more "stability", like we need more Cowbell :P
Sadly, I am on 3.0.1 now, I really regret it... :(

I didn't want to be stuck with only what, five games for the next four years. big whoop. You know, like how it took the Wii U to get real hacks after four years? I sense another PS3 3.51 BS situation.

PS4 joke, but in all seriousness i want GC emulator don't give a darn about Wii/Wiiu (even though seems Nintendo porting lots of games)
Bruh, I remember you from Wololo's forum. That was just a sidenote :P

But yeah me too man!! I've been playing Wind Waker on my phone which is excellent. Makes me kinda wish for that GCN on the Switch B)

I've never played F Zero GX but heard great things and Switch would be perfect with the 2 joy cons and the fact that people can mod there joy cons and Switch with new colored covered plates gives me a lot of hope that we will definitely see modchip makers making a modchip specifically for the Switch kinda like how it is with Xbox 360 and PS3 , where it will ignore efuse s cause once there's an exploited firmware, there's nothing stopping hackers from hacking it nor modchip makers who want money.

Nintendo did patch it out, yes but remember this, there is and always will be a way for someone to improve upon that exploit or vulnerability, it's like a virus, Nintendo stopped it for a time but it will come back either through software mods or hardware mods but it always happens but Nintendo is too stupid to realize that.

Did you not read? i was talking about the warning for the exploit found in 3.0.0, people always tell you not to update but some will take that risk if nothing big is announced.
Then that is their fault for updating. The general consensus in the console hacking scene is to not update until given the OK from the scene devs. Those that just update because they didn't get anything definite other than "don't update" obviously don't care a lot about exploits and thus can't complain if they do update and then latest get concrete details about exploits on the lower fw.

So for anyone that cares about exploits and updated to 3.01, don't update as there may be something for 3.01 that the update fixes (most likely not as big as smhax but still something)

3.0.1 still has a chance. While the bug that was patched in 3.0.1 was definitely the biggest, there are many other bugs in 3.0.1, with people trying to develop bigger exploits for it
I have my NNID linked to my account, so I don't see a need for updating past 3.0.1 for now. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky?

They updated to play Splatoon Too and Sonic Mania (wtf, not an exclusive). They would sure as hell update for Mario Odyssey. It's sound advice though.

Would you rather people get the PC version? Lol. Sorry, but I'm not too satisfied being limited to <10 games on 3.0.0.

Yup agreed.

Ill be updating to continue playing my games, im not hanging on for possibly years to play games.

My ps3 was on 3.20 or something to retain OOS for yonks... my PS4 has been offline since 3.50 came out (april 2016).... my wii u was on 5.3.2 forever... this time round ill enjoy the console for what it is rather than it sit there for ages.

Hackers always hold on to exploits as long as possible for this exact reason, build up back catelog and compatibility.

.... now ive said it....

Isn't it mandatory to update if you want to use the eshop? Because I'm still on 3.0.1 and using the eshop.
