Hoping someone can help me.

I installed a game in tinfoil and the fail installed. My switch crashed and booting into Hekate, can't boot into my emuMMC anymore, seems corrupted.

I backup the SD card to my computer, in which all the files seem intact. I just finished formatting it to fat32, and reinstalling everything.

Thankfully it seems to be working again, but is there any way for me to extract the saves from the SD card backup I made?

I just backed it up to a hard drive in a folder, everything in the sd card.

Were you using partition or file based emuMMC?

Don't save files reside in the Switch itself, in sysMMC?
While in EmuMMC all sys calls are redirected to the EmuMMC. Everything will be on the SD. You can remove the SysMMC and Switch will work off the EmuMMC. I've see people do this with bad SysMMC and I've seen people install L4T to SysMMC and run Horizon solely off EmuMMC.

Probably file based. Partition based are more stable unless the SD is fake or fails.

@heckinhound

Your EmuNand is if file based in the Emutendo folder as multiple files
or if partition based on the second partition of your SD card.

If your Emunand is working again as it seems just put the SD into your pc
and follow the guide.

Edit:
Oh, BTW this is an OLD thread, sorry…
I hope you fixed your issue.
