My (probably bad) advice is to get some kind small tool and wedge it in between the cart and the slot and try to pop it out.

remove the backcover of the switch to get better accses to the game and then use something to pull it out.
Will void the gurantee through , i guess.

Get some needle-nose pliers or a small thin piece of metal to somehow slide it gently out. From there, never let your friend use a Switch for the rest of his life.

Or any electronic. If they are dumb enough to forcibly insert a cart the wrong way they have no clue what they are doing.

They should be banned from owning consoles if they're that stupid to put in a cartridge wrong. How the hell do they put in a Switch game in wrong?

The one thing Ive learned in electronics is pieces are designed to fit together easily. If it isn't easy, you are doing something wrong. The only time this is iffy is for older ram slots. Those cash sometimes take a bit of force. Other than that if it doesn't easily slide in something is being done incorrectly.

You'd think that people would have that common sense, but in this Tide-pod-eating generation, that's a rarity.

Am I the only one who notices a trend here on gbatemp??? Every single thread about a brick or something stupid that has been done is always blamed on a friend or family relative why can't people just come out and admit they fucked up instead of blaming someone else.

Am I the only one that keeps my switch to myself? The only time others have used it I set it up for then and sat there until they are done. Im not very trusting of others with electronics I saved months for. One dumb move from a friend and poof my save is gone.

It actually was a friend, I wouldn't force a card upside down AND backward inside.

Your friend must be an ogre ... lol
In worst case send it to Nintendo

You can super easily break the game card port so be careful with tweezers or ask Nintendo if they may help ... third option: ur friend gives you another 329€ or whatever and you buy a new switch ... he broke it - he pays

My dad got it out in 2 minutes with a plier and a tweezer. So if your cart backward, upside down (or both) just use pliers and tweezer. I wouldn't reccomend the plier though.

Step 1: punch your friend.
Step 2: do what randomizer said and get pliers. Be careful not to break it though.

I'll leave here this method, I plugged an SD card one a MS card slot which is deeper, to pull it out I put a very little drop of super glue on a plastic paper (like the ones you find on new clothes) and slide it inside.
BE CAREFUL TO USE THE GLUED SIDE ONE THE STUCK SD
After a minute I just pulled the plastic and it went out, the glue can damage the card but if there is too much of it, or damage the game image very easily
