Ok, so it ain't possible for someone who has access to gateway mode to create an entry point and back it up using this program? Once written to the retail cart there's no difference of save file type right? It's the format of the backup that's different.
I can do that for you if you want.

I try to backup my save from SSB on my O3DS 9.9, and it seems like I have to hold in the L-button in order to make it work..? svdt creates a folder named "Super Smash Bros." in my svdt, but when I try to open it on my computer it just tells me that the folder is not accessible... What am I doing wrong? When I boot up svdt without holding the L-button i creates a folder with two bin files instead (cannot remember the names right now).

You need SYSTEM_data.bin

Could anyone do a guide or tutorial of sorts on how to use this? I lot of people get's confused by the layout, can't find stuff, etc

I've attached the latest commit as of now, which should be more user friendly.
It also has a bugfix for restoring a full dir from sd to savedata.

I am trying to backup the save data from OOT Retail.
Starting CN (CIA) from rxTools and svdt from Homebrew launcher keeps crashing.
Starting CN from Retail and then svdt there is no way to change the Retail Card?

So actually I do not know how to backup the OOT Retail Save Data.
Finally I want to move the save data to a CIA verion of OOT.

I trying this on a N3DS.

It requires Ninjhax 2 (OoT3DHax. Ironhax or Tubehax)

But if you want to move the save data from a physical cartridge to a CIA version, can't you just use SaveDataFiler on a CFW?

I was searching for SaveDataManagers. This one was the one I found :)
Where to get SaveDataFiler? Is this Open Homebrew?

I am getting a bit confused. When I backup to the root of the SD card, I can edit, select that and write it back to the cart. But I can't seem to write the main file on the svdt/game directory to the cart.
