Guys, look at the this thread and here to get some sort of indictation of what's happening (and going to happen) in this thread.

This thing has happened so many times on GBAtemp and it's easy to spot.

I've actually helped him out during his research stage; he "quit" because basically by the time he got his hands on the real good stuff, pasta was to be released
Now, I'm not saying that what he says is true or not (we'll never know), but I'm putting my trust on Mass. My reasons will remain undisclosed.
This stuff happens most of the time a new userland exploit is released here, I'll give you that; I'll trust him and do my own research, that way, if anything happens I would have acquired some knowledge and all this time won't have been wasted.

Edit: If you are interested in backup loading or just having some sort of new exploit for the 3DS, I encourage you to go learn a programming language or two, do research, get involved! Even if it's just a bit (pun unintended) a day, it will help and maybe you can be the next big thing in hacking or developing! You don't need to learn hardcore programming or lose your social life or anything; you'll be amazed to know the amount of things you can do with entry-level programming knowledge

I could understand being skeptical - I mean, hell, I'm not counting on a >9.3 exploit happening anytime soon - but why shit on a guy who's just trying to look for an exploit? We, the end users, have literally nothing to lose from this. If it happens, we get downgrading and legit .cia installation, if it doesn't happen, we're back to square one, and we get to keep our cool homebrew apps.

Why are people so mad? I don't get it.

tl;dr "I have an exploit idea, no proof, will keep you posted." Then nothing for months because the troll doesn't know how to program and people eventually forget about it.

I dont know ih this project is real or not. It already helped me. I started again trying to learn ARM assmembly/explotation. I have a 9.0 2ds, so this project dont gonna help me any way, only helping me learning high-level programm even if this is fake. So yeah why hate something which you can easy ignore or use as a motivation.

We might not even know till he has a stable build cuz a bad exploit =/= worthy of use. Brahma was wonderful.

Honestly, if we can find something better than what the leads might be (I'm not interfering with his work whatsoever so I'm just following my own path for now) we can achieve something great, maybe not to the caliber of Brahma (I'm not the best programmer) but something great nontheless.

This is also a possibility. If an exploit is prone to bricking consoles or something like that then we might be better off not knowing about it. There's a lot of things that could go wrong when messing with a console's firmware.

There are processes that could be hijacked and exploited; now, finding something exploitable like that and openly documented is another thing.

I know, and it shouldn't discourage anyone to think that non documented exploits are not valuable, in fact, it might become something very useful. Being curious is part of the experience

I wonder if kernel access would allow software-based head tracking 3D similar to the New 3DS. The N3DS probably uses different hardware for that though. But still...I can dream...

N3DS has separate hardware IIRC for head tracking; it's basically the same issue as trying to run n3DS exclusives on O3DS; if it does get to work, it won't work properly.
