Hey guys... I'm trying to pick up a gift for a friend, and I'm fairly clueless. He has an SP that I was going to get him a cart for... and it seems like you either pay 100+ dollars for an internal flash based card from some shady site, or you buy this:

Most of the reviews I see of it speak in terms of NDS use... Does anyone have experience with this thing rocking GBA roms? I owned a Supercard Lite Rumble in the past that I was happy with... run the roms through SC's program, and dump them on the flash media... Will the process be similar in terms of GBA roms for this device?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, its just tough to find good info on old devices.

Thanks

You do just patch them and put them on your card, but the Supercard is not known for good GBA compatibility due to slow RAM which causes slowdowns in some games and other incompatibilities in others. I don't use my Supercard for GBA gaming usually so I don't notice it, but others may find it more annoying. There are some tricks you can use to improve matters though, found at http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/SupercardGBASlowdowns

Of course, most games run fine, but some do slow down. For this reason, many members here will suggest other carts like the EZ-Flash III or IV.
