as for you guys complaining about the line limit...

wait for gecko 1.9.2's source to be incorperated into the backup loaders and then you'll only need a text file to disable the line limit.

before you know-it-all fags start, gecko 1.9.2 IS open source.

Is there any way to make this work with USB Loading? I screwed up my disc and can't play brawl plus anymore

.
you'll have to wait till gecko 1.9.2 is incorp'd into a USBloader and then, you need a gameconfig.txt file in the root of your sd card, which will raise the line limit to some 1213 lines.

When a USBloader with 1.9.2 comes out, put THIS (RIGHT. CLICK. SAVE. AS.) in the root of your sd card and then you can load brawl +.

Any Brawl+ers try out Balanced Brawl? I was wondering what people who have been rocking Brawl+ for a while think about BB?

I've seen Balanced Brawl. It's not as "balanced" as they're trying to make it but at least they're trying. I just wouldn't play it because it's still Brawl in a sense. Slow paced, no momentum, hardly any hitstun, etc. If you keep all those features.. why not just play with the original then since so many people have access to the original Brawl.

Plus, many people are contradicting themselves in the project as well. Many of them back then were "No. Don't change Brawl! We like it the way it is." and now they're all hyped up about a project that pretty much changes Brawl the way it is even if it has nothing to do with it's physics.

But yeah, I don't really care much about it. People who hated Brawl+ even after trying it would still be against the project either way. But look on the bright side of BB; no more bs excuses about "homebrew is too hard to get" which makes them one step closer in trying Brawl+.

This seems like a worthless project. If you truely are a great Brawl fighter you get use to and adapt to the changes. You dont see people that complain about the latest PES, playing older PES in tourneys right?

Same thing applies here.

Yeah this puts a lot of skill back into play. Also I think the most important thing is it brings back tension, what makes this series so great in the first place that fast-paced/frantic fighting style.

I played a 4 way today in Brawl and it is great.....Honestly.....

New year, new game engine, etc.....It takes time to get use to it and become (once again) a great Brawl fighter.

I respect the project but I dont agree with it's "goal"

I like to lol at comments like this but you didn't put enough in to make me "lol". Have any idea on how many people complain about Brawl breaking traditional Smash Bros. formula? Thus, this project was born.

Edit: You probably don't mind because you probably play 4 people FFA with items on as casual fun. I don't mind that 'cause I do that for melee when I don't feel like playing competitively. But what you probably don't understand is the competitive side of Brawl. Many peopel complain how it's almost usually Metaknights now in finals.

Again take the example of PES2009....

Real users of PES get use to the changes. The best players come and go with each series....

Lmao, your saying that players like ChuDat among others suck? Many of the bets of melee and the best of Brawl play Brawl+ because Brawl has almost no tech skill and much of the glitches are easy to execute and its very broken. Try winning a major tournament as Ganondorf and it proves my point, compare it to Mewtwo with Taj in melee.

Some tournaments go 1-2-3 Metaknight, others have a Snake in there. Ally is a god, Metaknight isn't broken but MK and Snake are too high above the rest.

Brawl+ is much better.

And I'll use my example of Melee vs. Brawl (not bashing on Brawl). Melee was made before Brawl and Melee's depth of a game is much greater. Now let's take Street Fighter for another example. SF4, being released not too long ago, has a good technical depth to it, but it's not as technical as it's previous Street Fighter games.

You do know Melee is rising again right? Perfect proof is at Genesis tournament that just happened. Brawl barely beat Melee in the number of players competing, but in grand finals, everyone was hyped over Melee finals compared to Brawl finals. Because there are so many people that favor Melee, why not incorporate both aspects of Super Smash Bros. 64 and Melee in a "new" Brawl project called Brawl+? This way, Brawl still lives, but in a community project which makes everyone happy. It's a win-win. Brawl players play Brawl. Brawl+ players will play Brawl+. And there's always going to be those hybrid players too.

They can choose to adapt if they wish, but there is a huge majority where there are people who don't like the new game. It breaks the traditional formula of Smash.

So.. I don't see the point in your argument. yes they can adapt, but why adapt to a game you don't like?

Noone liked PES 2009 when it came out. But people adapted and finally liked it in the end.

Like I said
Its a great project with good ideas.....but just worthless.
