Has wave dashing been removed? It always seemed to me that wave dashing was never supposed to be a legitimate move, but rather a glitch that was exploited for tournaments and competitive play, but was never intended to be in the game. Personally, I hate it, but if it's still in the game, then obviously I am wrong about it being a glitch... Can anyone playing, that knows what I'm talking about, confirm this?

L-Cancel wasn't a glitch, but that's still gone.

how is falco in brawl? nerfed? buffed? imba?
i saw some videos but the players were obviously noob so that didn't help much.

i was expecting shiek / falco to get a nerf. how are they?

From what i've seen in competitive videos, Shiek got the nerf stick...HARD. Almost to the point where she's unplayable and Zelda becomes more viable... Fair nerf to the point I've seen it at 100%+ and it doesn't kill, dash attack doesn't launch as high as it used too and the new mechanics mean characters recover after getting hit into the air A LOT quicker. Her dash attack air combo doesn't work like she used too.

Falco is quite different from Fox now, as he uses his arms/feathers/wings? more than kicks at leave what Ive noticed...

Edit, Shiek actually is not that bad when you take into retrospect all the other characters...Falcon's elbow smash doesnt kill at around 100% wtf is that heh

Sheik is not nerf at all.
I always used him in Smash Melée, always.
In Brawl, he's always a fast characters, with effective smashs, he's not very powerful but hey, he moves like a cat!
If you mastery him, he can be easily untouchable.

Just a thing which I do not like in Brawl, the Down+A move, when you're in air... Seems to be more powerful, but you can't cancel it....

I burned the DVD9 Version of SSBB on a DVD+R DL Verbatim, I launch the update on my PAL Wii and I got the two channels.
Then the Wii recognizes the game on the Channel Disc, but when I launch the game, I got a 001 Error Unauthorized Device has been detected

What can I do ?

PS : I have a 1.9g Wiikey and Super Mario Galaxy works fine.

Throw a way the Verbatim and try another brand. I had much succes with my CHEAPO "PLATINUM" DVD+R DL discs. They looked as if they were definitely not going to work........but they did......very well in fact.

Are you sure it is because of the brand ?
I always used Verbatim DVDs and I never had problems...

figured i'd ask in this post since i can't seem to find any real answer to this question and all the searching in the world hasn't helped me.

supposedly toon link is unlocked by completing Classic Mode with Link. OR 400 vs Matches.

i'm trying NOT to have to do 400 vs matches to get toon link, because by that time i'll be bored with the jap version but i still want to play as him. anybody have any suggestions? i've completed classic mode as link on every difficulty setting, and i've read on another website that completing classic mode as ganondorf is the way to unlock toon link, but upon completing classic as ganondorf i still have no ToonLink .

so i ask, is 400 vs matches the only way to unlock him or am i just completely unlucky?

(i've got the dvd9 version so SSE and everything else works fine, so i'd like to do it some other fashion than 400 vs matches

Hogmeister: According to GameFAQs, completing classic mode as link is the way to go, so I dunno. I'm up to 300 VS matches now so getting 400 isn't that hard even if you don't use the boring 1-hp method (well I did the 1-hp method a bit, but only a little at a time, 10 mins whenever i was bored maybe).
