Trying to run a Verbatim DVD+R Dual-Layer Backup of Dairantou Smash Bros X dumped by Caravan; burnt on a burner that burns good backups 99% of the time.

I've tried burning it on three different discs (all dual-layer, two DVD-R, one DVD+R, all Verbatims from Singapore) and the disc never spins. No 'three tocking noises' or anything.

On one, it was the ISO as I got it, unpatched; the other two used PAL patched copies from using Regionfrii.

I've managed to get Super Mario Galaxy and the DVD5 Brawl backup working flawlessly on the Wii, so I guess this problem is something to do with the dual-layer media or the particular ISO.

Any help is much appreciated! I'm willing to do simple operations with the Wii, but I'm not exactly a dab hand at electronics so I can't mess around with the chip or reprogram it. I do have the config disc for the YAOSM, which is running 2.0 final.

If the disc won't spin when you put it in that is very strange. I mean how would it know anything about the disc until it begins to read it? Even blank discs, or music discs, or everything, should still spin when put into the wii drive before giving and error, right?

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks

@BigOnYa, I may probably download fallout 3 or new vegas on my ps3
