Ontopic: Can anyone PLEASE tell me what zip file is that?!?!?
yes,its the zip file cointaing something from the emu(dont know what it is....i believe that it was writte in the site......and they are password protected, and you need more than that to run the emu(wich isnt avaiable right now))and the link for the site got removed......and i dont remember it......now lets just wait for the snes emu.....and some1 might develop a game cube emu for the gba to......anh.....might not happen....
christ, you people know how to beat a dead horse.
It's the source code to the emulator, ok? Hence the name SRC.ZIP.

If I intended for you to have what's in it, it wouldn't be protected. Just stop fscking worrying about it.
No, I dont nor didnt intend to download or open the file. I just wanted to know why 2~ pages were dedicated to ´´a protected zip file´´. Only that.

Loopy,

Thanks for posting the www, loving those screens man, please if you get time keep us updated with more shots (if you can!)

Anyway, this forum isnt the most mature, or with it. I love cruising these forums but not everyone here is into emus/or know about the emu scene as much as they are into rom releases. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but when a game is dumped they play it and beat it within 4 hours. Most dont understand the emu scene and that it takes time to produce an emulator, especially for the gba. PCE advance was released about a 9 months ago, and it is just now very playable and has partial sound.

What im trying to say is dont get to discouraged about what you may read in these forums, most people who post here have short a short patience (As do I at times.) just take your time and release the best emu that you can and we will all be happy!

Since this board attracts people from around the world it is clearly time that the moderators call for a UN resolution for "Loopy" to come clean on whether SNES-what’s-its-name is kosher!

There is a “clear and present” danger that this “thingy” is destabilizing the global gaming community. It represents an “axis of evil” with two other things I’d prefer not to mention at this time that is tearing the community apart.

So following promulgation of “UN resolution SNESthingy-version 0.001”, if we don’t see REAL evidence after an arbitrary time of our choosing we should start to carpet bomb Loopyvania.

COM Sat 3 and the Hubble space telescope have been in geo stationary orbit above Loopyvania for a number of weeks now with zero signs of activity. What movement that was thought to have occurred has been attributed to background noise and static.

Special Ops Delta force and SAS inserted as under cover beta testers similarly report back “troubling and doubtful progress.”

Insurgents loyal to Loopyvania continue to propagandize the existential philosophy of “Just ‘cos you aint seen it don’t mean it doesn’t exist”. Oxford and Harvard emeritus professors of philosophy have drawn a similarity to Zen “If the SNESthingy is switched on in the forest and no one is there, will it boot up and play anything other than SMB?”

I’m sure all reasonable and rational gamers can only but agree with me on this proposal

umm, it is real, loopy is programming it, we dont need real evidence other than his word, why do people still debate it

wow...most of that went right over my head, lol.

I agree...No one knows what the hell they're talking about anymore. Nobody is caring to read the whole topic, and people are still continueing to point angry posts at me, when I've said I was wrong and moved on. Something to say to some of you:

Phatdru: Yea...Loopy is. Read the friggin' thread.

Djammer: You don't even know what you're talking about anymore. That post was pages back, and I've already said I was sorry about that and I said I was wrong about trying to crack it. God, people...Get some freakin' lives or something.

Once and for all, I'm sorry anyone I offended...I didn't mean to try and crack the zip. I have learned my lesson completely. I'm going to be 100% faithful to the author and wait for his official release. I know when it's released it will blow us away.

OK...and "some fell on stony ground". An explanation - What I wrote is a parody (look it up in your dictionary) lending clichés from the search for Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Iraq. Read a newspaper for more on that or watch TV.

From what I read "Loopy" is an ex-Marine now studying at the University of Utah, so I think the parody has a certain poetic irony…

My post was an attempt to loosen up on all this...

If SNESthingy is real, and when SNESthingy is released...we'll all go crazy for a few weeks playing SNES...the world will continue to rotate on its axis...business as usual.

Since Metroid Zero Mission is out today, my devilish side was going to do another parody i.e. "SNESthingy is this also a Zero Mission" - but I won't. Ohhps…I think I just did

please read the entire thread before posting... it really helps limit the number of senseless posts like yours..

no the emu will not only run SMW.. and if you don't believe SNES emulation, too bad for you...

I belive in SNES emulation, but the fact is that it wont run very smothly(5-10 fps with framskip on and no sound.)

10fps is not that bad, the LCD screen blends the frames nicely and makes animations fluid. however i don't expect it to be that sluggish, judging from the SMW video. we're talking about an alpha version here, loopy has been developing it for one month only, i reckon. it looks like the frameskip's set to 0 all the time, hence the noticeable slowdown when several sprites pop on the screen. despite all the bugs, it looks very promising to me, and definitely feasible on the GBA. i mean, why slate something even before its BETA release?? give loopy a chance. he's already surprised us all with pocketnes, i'm sure he'll put up a decent emulator, even if it doesn't run all the games and at full speed (60fps), which I don't expect by the way. What I expect above all is a playable and enjoyable emulator, which i believe has been the purpose of every project he has undertaken.

sorry for my curiosity, but is he making an emu like pocket nes or is he making the .smc roms playable on the gba without an emu, cause im curious as to how the button configurations are going to be. i know he is making an emu, but is he goign to configure the buttons. if so he should make l and r x and y since l and r are rarely used and maby make start and select l and r...wlell either way im not sure, nor do i care what the buttons will be, but is he going to make the meu with the button configuratiosn for games?

1) The GBA can emulate a NES without much problem.
2) It's no more difficult for the GBA to emulate SNES-comparable graphics than it is to emulate NES. Why's that? The GBA's graphics processor is designed nearly identically to the SNES's. Can you say HLE? Yeah, no shit sherlock.
3) The SNES CPU runs 1.5x - 2x faster than the NES.
4) I've announced on occasion that the emulator runs at least about half speed of a real SNES. Hmm, lemme check. Yep, the numbers DO seem to match up.
5) You've already seen that even the PC Engine, which has a clock speed twice that of the SNES, is possible to emulate with reasonable speed.
I'm officially convinced.

Dear lord... So many stup-- I'm not going to finish that, for the sake of everything good and nice.

Now, let's see here... There are SNES emulators for Pcoket PC... Like the one I have on mine... My PPC is crap, and yet it still plays the games somewhat well. Sure, not full speed, sure, no sound, but does that matter? No! Just being able to play the classic SNES rpgs and such anywhere is good enough. And hey, at least with an SNES emulator for GBA, the buttons will actually react when you press them, instead of waiting for about 2 seconds! SNES on GBA is quite possible, and would be much better than on PPC. Period. End of story. So why don't you all get over this little "Oh, it will never work! Boo hoo hoo!" attitude of yours, and just shut up and go away if you can't? If you really think it's impossible, why don't you just go away and leave it alone, instead of acting like jerks, and thus lowering the chances of it ever actually happening, eh? Hmm... Ideas ideas...
