GCN Super Mario Sunshine

Never beaten Sunshine because it bored me after trying.. trying..... and dying...

After all, the game has nice graphics and level structures what makes this games still one of my favorite Mario's i've ever played.

But still

, it's in my opinion a hard game to beat (fast).

I got enough shines to beat Bowser, and then I stopped playing. I didn't like it nearly as much as any other 3D Mario. I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of Super Mario 64, but I still played the DS version until I got all 150 stars.

I honestly thought Sunshine was the worst Mario platformer since SMB2 (the American version). The new mechanics were just shitty. I wanted a standard hop 'n' bop platformer like every other Mario game, not to spend my time hosing down beaches and baddies with a stupid water pack.

Thank God they completely blew it out of the water with Galaxy. In Galaxy at least they added mechanics that were, you know, fun.

IMO Galaxy is the worst 3D game, Sunshine being second and SM64 being the best

I beat it all about 5-6 years ago. I thought it was quite great. Dunno what's the hate.

Sunshine was different but still great. For me it had more of an adventure-vibe then the other 3D games which I found quite refreshing though I agree with most people saying Galaxy is better, since I find it more concentrated on fun platforming...

Still a very fun experience and I wouldn`t change it in the slightest way, since like I said even though it`s different it has its own charm!

I hoped for a NPC-SMS (controls like RE4Wii) but it seems like they discontinued the NPC-series...

Mario Galaxy was the worst to me. Mario Sunshine was exquisite, in fact there are a lot of "retro" stuff around like stages where you had to jump and jump platforms without your water pump with a remastered SMB1 main world theme

To me, it's the best 3D Mario game. I genuinely don't understand why people hated FLUDD and complain about the game forcing you to "clean up crap". Yes, there is cleaning but by god it was not the major element of the game, nor was cleaning up every single bit forced upon you.

How many of you tempers have actually beaten it?
I myself pretty much gave up at 60 stars because of all the fucking "secret" levels when it became an impossible platformer where making one wrong step means you die.

I agree about the platformer secret levels. I refuse to collect everything in galaxy for the same reason...galaxy 2 is even worse...Nintendo and Capcom too need to realize not everyone is a super-man with the controller.

I would of loved all 4 mario 3d games if it wasn't for the Secret Platformering Levels Of Doom and cheapness.

i got around 110-ish stars last i played, the only water pump nozzle i found really fun was the rocket one

iv got all the shine sprites O.o it was hard but i like it when you can pay the boat manager to go back to the air port place.

btw once you get all the sprites you get a funny red symbol and the game is way to bright had to go get the sunglasses from that random guy....

loved the speed nozzle run past someone and jump lol

(EDIT: just checked have a red sun symbol and 120 shine sprites guess i got em all)
