Yeah. If I was telling the truth and someone swore at me I'd be even more determined to prove them wrong...human nature

update your Wiikey with a 1gcos boot 2... 1.9 update.... 3. change the region overwrite to true..

should not make any dif :S

I wonder if you could put the disc in, wait for it to do 10% of the update then turn the wii off, just like with Metroid Prime 3.

you can always give it a try

what's the last update available btw? my wii still has 3.0U firmware, I assume there must be 3.1 or 3.2 now right?

An update on a game disc isn't always a full update. My wii for example is 3.0E, and before playing Metroid3 (PAL), I had to update. After the update, firmware was still 3.0E.

I'm not asking because of U R MR GAY, just because I want to know what's the latest available firmware, and if it brings important changes to the wii, otherwise, I'll stay with 3.0

Doesn't work. Just tried it myself moments ago and updated another thread on here. The update will be performed (or not if you've already done it with metroid prime 3) and then you'll just get the blank screen like if you brickblock the iso.

Damn... not like it should matter, but are you ntsc or pal?

Pal. And I used the Pal Metroid Prime 3 partition. I think whichever you swap out though you'll get the blank screen.

Read this Dudes!

"According to a guy I know working for an official Nintendo distributor, the security around Super Mario Galaxy was really tight on this convention they had. A guy from Nintendo of Europe (he was German or something) had to stay there to make sure no one could make copies of it, etc., and the game didn't even run on a normal Wii. They inserted a special SD card to make the game run."

Someone said, that the Game will run on a D2C Wii.....

Has somebody a Wii with D2C Board?

NOTE: Now that the weekend is over, we had a chance to really hack this one. All props go to SpinXter for his mad skills. As for Nintendo.. owned again! Njoy this proper release.

apparently only works on D2C wii's modded with D2Ckey. and I guess Wiikey users, like me, will have to wait another 6 months in order to play the game after some firmware update is done.

Don't care anyway, I just found the game for 38€ shipped from USA to France

But I admit it would have been fun to taunt my online friends with some pics of the game running on my wii 2 weeks early

6 Months? Is there support really that bad?

Well I need some advice guys...
I ordered my wiikey a few days ago and should be getting it soon. I dont want to soder the damn thing on if Nintendo is just going to keep disableing games for it. Do you think even if you have a legit copy of a game, Nintendo may not let you play just cause you have a modchip installed?Should I install a switch on top of the mod just in case this happens? I'm new to the scene, so I guess what I am asking is, based on what you allhave seen so far, what do you recommend?

...Crimson if you weren't about to say that you were new to it all then I was about to pose that question lol.

This is the nature of the beast, it is a cat and mouse game. The only reason the D2Ckey works is because it is not the old method of bypassing the Wii protections it is a new method. It is more transparent because it is not a simple drive mod, it still is but it has gone well beyond what the other drive mods are capable of technically.

You are comparing a 30 some odd wire chip to something that has 4 or 5 wires... there is going to be a difference. Also the D2Ckey I think does not work unless you have a D2C wii and even then it is not an install many can do imo.

Only reason it does not work with D2A and D2B is that there previously was no need, most everything worked. If people don't fix this in the software then yes I'd expect a D2Akey and D2Bkey to come out or maybe a D2Xkey that does all 3.

It seems while the D2A and D2B users got to laugh at their fellow D2C brethrens for having to do a 30 wire install, now they get to laugh at all of us.
