I patched the game with v6 and then yours, but apparently the translated script stops right before the summon beast appearance. I assume this means v7 didn't actually apply, just v6. Is the updated script for all summon beasts or just one? (I choose the beast one, btw).

Still, thanks for all this.

Yeah i did not continue the script, just everything else, im gonna be busy so if you guys can find someone to continue it would be good

The trimming is useless now, as ritchburn tools make it possible to insert the text without that drawback, what we lack of right now is programmers to help tlz finish the script inserter, so if you want to help go to the irc and then try talking to them. If you do not receive response just send a PM

Edit: guys I found my mistake which was....very silly to say the least.


So i'll get a last version patch, it'll be the good one.

are you sure about that Pablitox?did TLZ already try the tools of ritchburn?i can try help him to program the script inserter but i need him to tell me what to do, im a graduate of computer programming and i know some programming languages, i need to contact TLZ so we can chat, maybe in facebook.

I tried the game with the new patch version. I stopped soon after an encounter with a stranger with glasses (and soft....things? Or so i kinda understood....) since the game was almost entirely in Japanese.
Anyway, no crash experienced even for such a little amount of time and i could enjoy fighting with normal monsters. It sounds promising for what's coming next.

Thanks Maxtram! that'd be really useful.

Anyway, I decided to upload the script for those who want to help us, it comes in two files:

the script ripped from the site

and the script where the english text should get inserted into

The idea is to basically insert the ripped script (scriptTXT.rar) into each of the files in the other script (they are a lot, so any thing like a program to do it automatically will work). Afterwards i all comes to trial and error.


Basic steps:

1. Identify the dialogue for testing purposes, and add it to main.c.

2. Replace the text with some garbage (so it will actually fit in the rom),
and create a patched rom.

3. Try to run the script in the game.

4. If the game hangs, then you probably messed up the jump addresses.
I can't be bothered elaborating on this right now, so let's just pretend it's not a problem.

5. Then you putting the translated text in line by line.

I think TLZ or whoever should really look into inserting scripts into
the empty space at the end of the rom, otherwise the last step is
extremely tedious.

Though someone could start by copying *.txt with 1kb, the procedure is

open scriptTXT and locate a 1kb file
locate the file with the same name ( by name I mean the numbers) and replace the text
rinse and repeat

I am just a newcomer, but I am quite good in english and would like to help, so I will try to got the savestates from the bosses, I am doing nothing now-a-days.
If I quit it I will post what I have got so far. Just a question, those monsters that appears in the first bridges are in the bosses section or you just need the big bosses?
And congrats for the hard work and the bypassing the obstacles, you are really good at what you are doing.

That would be awesome omar. i'd need a savestate for each no random encounter, wether its a stray or human boss

Those bridge bosses are included as well, as they are stray bosses.

Oh, got it, in other words, any fight needed to the game progress or, the ones that we can't flee even the 4 guardian beasts, I had already started. My android emu is compatible with VBA-M, so I'm doing in it while rnot in computer.
I'm working non stop but, since I don't speak JP I must be lost in some areas, but I am very good to play games by I-think-that's-it. That's how I learned English.

Exactly, so i can check the names are correct, i have that version of vba so that will work well.

If you get stuck checking a walkthrough would be good for now, they are really complete.

Sorry for the many questions (and the long posts) but I want to do a good work.
Must these savestates be before match (inthe map yet) or can be in the battle start (before any hit)?
Btw, I am using the VBA-M 1.8.0.
And it's me who must thank you all. Firstly for the willpower that doesn't alloed the total surrender of the target result. and ao for the oportunity to be in it.

Its okay omar, i don't mind the questions, I'm actually grateful for them (someone at least wants to help anyway)

I think that you could savestate when the battle begins a.k.a. when the screen changes before the first hit so i can check the boss name.
