Apparently, it's a new title in the PS1/PS2 series. The graphics show some very nice graphics. It's 3D character models on 2D backgrounds. The battles are fully 3D.
I don't know much about the series besides the fact that it's pretty popular and highly rated. This will be the first one I'll play. Actually, maybe I'll pick up one of the PS1 games sometime to get acquainted to the series first. At any rate, there's a fairly good chance of a US release. Most if not all the other games were released here. Here's some scans from Famitsu:
Reminds me of Soma Bringer, except the backgrounds are even more beautiful!
And isn't it funny how the DS was once considered an RPG-starved handheld, and now we get a flood of them?
