Ah cool.
Didn't know this would actually work because of so many people saying "instant brick"

It's pretty cool, i'm not sure what the application of it will be since it's slower then just loading it but still, it's nice to have and i'll be keeping it though.

nice video well done on getting it working, but was there not a newer release which fixed the screen corruption

I hope someone releases the exact details of what needs to be done, but great job! Im glad to see other people getting it right!

Is this the booting in to a content hack,
or are you doing something else ?

Good tot see it working, and nice to
have a spare wiiu to play around with!

Coldboothax is super easy to do, but at the same time super easy to screw up. Some notes for people who really want to try coldbooting:
  1. Ensure your Haxchi title is on internal memory and that it can be booted without signature patches. (You MUST buy a DS VC game for Haxchi+Coldboot, no being a cheapskate on this for now.)
  2. When editing system.xml, use a GOOD editor and triple-check that you typed the title ID correctly. I personally suggest Notepad++. Using the built-in Notepad on Windows can sometimes screw up the indention of the XML, which just makes it all even riskier.
  3. Make sure that system.xml has the same permissions after uploading the modified file as it did when downloading it with WUPclient.
  4. Just don't be stupid.

I'm a little concerned about this. I definitely have it on the USB, but really don't want to mess with it. Has anyone successfully moved it and then tried this?

If you're worried about anything, then just use the Wii U's Quick Start menu. It only puts you out 1 tap of the screen and you don't have to risk killing your $200+ console.

Can I try to install it on RedNAND? If I brick my redNAND, I can replace it with a backup

thats seems reasonable to me yeah
