Hacking Stuttering Games - Burn speed, maybe?

I have successfully burned over 35 Wii Games with zero coasters, using Taiyo Yuden discs on 4x, normally. I burned a few of them at 10x, just to see how well they'd work.

A couple of them stutter in certain places, namely Super Mario Galaxy (intro movie, very choppy), Trauma Center - Second Opinion (during the attract mode videos, same choppiness), and a couple of others.

My DVD burner is a Pioneer Lightscribe, brand new, and my Taiyo Yudens seem to have a minimum write speed of 4x. I use ImgBurn for all of my burns.

I was just wondering, should all Wii games be burned on a slower speed than 4x, and if so, how can I get ImgBurn to actually BURN at that speed? I set it on 1x, and it refuses to listen to me.

I have Nero Essentials, involuntarily, and would rather not use it, but if it can burn slower than 4x, I'll use it.
