the dummy catridge that fits in the slot-2 bay of the DSlite, why does it have those shiny gold teeth things that are on catridges? (also, what are the shiny gold teeth things called?)

.. i hope that made sense.

I also wondered that, but I guess the DS can just confirm that there's only the dummy cartridge inserted.

It shows what's inserted in the DS menu.

I'd call the 'golden teeth' contacts [IMG]

isn't it in there so it can grip itself into the gba slot so it won't fall out?

The DSL cannot "see" the dummy cartridge. If you open one up its just PCB traces. The contacts are probably there because they just used the DSL sized Rumble Pack cartridges and Opera Expansion pack PCB's and wanted to save on production costs. If they are touching the connector on the DSL it would also stop dust collecting on the contacts.

To make you wonder why the golden teeth are there.
