Street Fighter 6 gets its first gameplay trailer, teases a possible open-world exploration mode

After an underwhelming initial reveal, Capcom has finally given us some more information on Street Fighter 6. There's a lot going on in the trailer, showing off classic characters like Ryu and Chun-li, the relatively recently introduced Luke, and Jamie and Kimberly, the latest fighters in the series. There are a lot of hip hop elements in the trailer, giving an idea of the theme of this game, from the music to the art style. Finally, we have a tease for a possible mode that lets you explore the world and train as your own custom character. Street Fighter 6 is out next year.

I think it's kind of funny that the game will come out for the PS4 but not for the Xbox One but I think it makes sense considering that the PS4 is the console that is showing its age the most (in games like Elden Ring the PS4 can run just fine while the Xbox One can barely maintain 25 fps).

I'm quite surprised to see so many games announced for the PS4 for 2023, Sony is doing an excellent job maintaining support for it.

Seems very out of place to include city exploration (World Tour) in a fighting game which I believe they are using it as a way to do online matchmaking. Aside from that, looks like they got the message about the old SF6 logo and came up with something original.

Also, I'm okay with rap, but not a fan of the music in this trailer.

Hopefully, we can raise and breed fighters in the next one. I actually wouldn’t mind paying for coins to level up quicker. I’m going to collect the mall.
Guess what, Street Fighter Alpha 3 did something similar! The PS1, Saturn and PSP (I think Dreamcast too) ports had an exclusive feature called World Mode where you'd pick a fighter and use them to fight enemies across the globe, making them stronger and learning new techniques. The Japanese Playstation version also had some Pocketstation features, but I know next to nothing about that

I'll Wait for the Super Arcade Edition Deluxe to release before I buy Street Fighter 6
they're probably only gonna do DLC, like with SFV (the different sfv editions were just DLC, you can still get the base game and play it online nowadays)

As someone who has never played Street Fighter
Even I can tell that the Exploration Mode is pointless, Street Fighter is a fighting game in the same realm as Mortal Kombat there doesnt need to be an exploration mode, Just fighting

As someone who probably also wont play this Street Fighter anyway, I hope that whatever they do release for the fans or whoever will buy this, they've put enough effort into the Fighting aspects and havent gone balls to the wall with the Exploration Mode

SF is possibly my favourite game series ever and I was disgusted with V and had no hope for the series.

I take it all back. This looks UNBELIEVABLE. Can I go to sleep until 2023 please? Anyone have a crowbar? Just hit me with your best shot. I'll see you all SF6 launch day
