ROM Hack Strange Isn't It?

You may not have noticed this but I did. Nintendo hasn't been updating stuff like the Dsi or the Wii. AT ALL.
So what I'm wondering is why? Ever since the Wii was first hacked they went update CRAZY

DSi wasn't very update though.... well what I'm asking is what do you think about this? Though I think its great! No more updating cards and firmware! No more re installation!
I also ask does the DSi XL get updates? (please put in right forum if in wrong place.)

My DSi isn't getting any recent updates. I can't imagine the XL is either.

well, im pretty sure nintendo is gonna release dsi and dsi XL updates at the same time
but if u think about it, the longer they take, the more bullet proof the update is probably, so that makes it harder for us in the end.

maybe the haven't had a reason to update. Has anyone made a public hack of the DSi? no..

Maybe they put all their effort and money on the 3ds and decided DSI/WII updates are a waste of resource.
since Wii will always get hacked and DSi didn't yet (and won't by the time the 3ds will arrive) what you have to upgrade exactly? new ware games?

There will be more updates, but Ninty's probably waiting for some more flashcarts/mods to arrive so they can block those too. Or not.
