Now obviously i know this message is never gonna get through to nintendo but, Nintendo should be happy that they have such dedicated fans that even make remakes of lost but never forgotten games, but no, they want to stop everything that has to do with the word "homebrew" i know one company that actually INVITES homebrew into their world, EA is doing a great job so far by letting all Sims players create whatever they want with no limitations. So please Nintendo, stop rejecting the homebrew and spit in their faces, its where the future starts.

When did Nintendo ever 'stop' homebrew? They only stop piracy to my knowledge.
They blocked the IPlayer.

Oho? So even though ShopTemp doesn't have it, it'd be pointless to buy anyways?

...I have depression...

there have been legal homebrew devices for the DS. Datel`s max media dock and games n music come to mind.

Seeing the Datel at Walmart is actually what convinced me to get a DS Lite and CycloDS several years ago. I forgot about those legal homebrew devices.

I believe this was said in the News thread:
iPlayer=>GBA Emu=>GBA Roms=>Piracy
or something like that.

iPlayer has already been blocked much before the arrival of the GBA emulator.

And they blocked Action Replay too.

Anyway, every flashcarts bypassing 1.4 contains bytes of retail games, so they can all be considered as piracy.

I get iPlayer but Action Replay!? What the... Is using cheat codes REALLY that bad? Sure it makes a difference on pokemon games but its pretty easy to spot a hacker there and get em banned(?). So Nintendo is really starting to get a little bit dumb regarding action replay...

If you allow homebrew, you allow piracy.

Unsigned code is unsigned code.I should have added that i meant games made by users...Which si homebrew, which is unsigned code, which would allow piracy.

If the iplayer could run, then another cart that would allow piracy could run, and it would technically be possible to make an NDS loader for the iplayer.

Yet, not all flashcarts were blocked.

Nintendo has hated the many Action Replay devices for a long time. I imagine them blocking it gave them a warm, tingly feeling in their 'special place'!

I really don't see why Homebrew Dev's just go and become official dev's for the DSi's shop channel or the Wii's. It nets them money and more popularity.

Because Nintendo don't allow you to become an official dev unless you give them £10,000 + already be a pro developer + have a secure office to store the special equipment.

When you say sims I suppose you mean the pc versions right?
If thats the case Id say Valve and Bethesda do just as well as EA....if not better with keeping the games open....
