I see that other thread with pages of rambling and other Tweets about Shiny getting banned and figured anyone that was going to view that, viewed and moved along.

However, the real info was left out.

This is the console cert I've been using for *all* CDN exploration since June of last year. I'm not surprised in the slightest, tons and tons of invalid requests have been sent from this one. I also updated the console to 5.0.1 when that released.

Banning status update, another unit in our circle banned, this one didn't touch hbl but its cert messed with CDN so it probably isn't libnx errors, I guess we'll know if those end up causing bans or not at some point.

This. We're still missing another piece of information. I think he got banned because of his role in the hacking community. Since the CDN tools became public, I'm sure several people have used it at least once. But we only have one ban and its from a widely-known hacker. Coincidence?

He's a well known member dev. He wouldn't lie about it. He said once in August. So it was once in August. He's not gonna get unbanned lying about it so why would he lmao

Yes it's probably a coincidence. It's probably the hbl errors he was talking about. They can't just track his console down like the FBI lol they have better things to do. Banning his console isn't going to stop him.

This line of 'thinking' is senseless. The Switch is an entirely new console and it seems they've learned some things. Also, they've been dealing with Xbox a lot more, lately...

You don't know what anyone would do. Even if that person's guesstimate of "August?" is true, it would make sense for N to gather enough culprits before banning.

This thread is similar to “Let the bannings begin” and the other one called “Have you been banned? Tell us how”.

If I were an unknown visitor to the subforum I’ve thought that a massive wave of bans happened. Not only that is not the case, also we still don’t know for sure the reason behind the only known case of possible ban console.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not interested in downloading CDNs and I think we need to get to the bottom of this. But until we know anything, all these threads make it look like there’s a bunch of ignorant people running around in mass hysteria. No offense.
