Stock FW with Xenoblade 2 DLC error

hi,
currently I'm using Stock OFW 20.3.0 and would like to replay Xenoblade 2 with it's DLC

I'm heading to eShop and download the DLC, which represents as Virtual Game Card.

after downloading and loaded the VGC, I can't boot into the game, which show default "the software was closed because an error occurred" screen.

I tried restarting the Switch, re-download the DLC, but the game still won't start

if I delete the DLC, it can boot into the main menu (using the latest version)

is there any way to load the DLC? I assume I'm not the only one with this issue??

PS: I'm using dual boot, with latest Atmosphere, Hekate with 19.0.1 CFW on emuNAND, but switch to stock FW to play my original/bought DLC.

Try deleting both the dlc and base game and redownloading both? Since you're on sysMMC I don't know any other options. Doing a quick Google search on it though, the "closed because an error occurred" thing seems to be common with Xenoblade 2.

*my account got locked and the "unlock" email wasn't arriving so I create a new account to reply this thread.

for now the sysMMC stock FW still can't play the game, however if I boot the sysMMC with CFW, the game is running fine. I assume it's permission related? I'm using the same account to download and to play.

If you purchased the game and DLC from eShop I have no idea why it would work on sysMMC w/CFW, but not on "stock" sysMMC. Have you tried on pure stock? As loading stock through Hekate options is not 100% pure. To load 100% pure stock you need autoRCM disabled and select "Reboot" then "OFW" in Hekate.
