Why is stimming called what it is?
I'm consistently overstimulated just by existing.

The difference is that stims are controlled, familiar stimulus and not chaotic outside noise beyond your control.

When I was little I did some idle animations as well. But I was told to stop. Now I tend to have these restless legs and don't care if others tell me to stop. I also use a metal ball with spikes and rings i can roll on my fingers for stimming
