this might be a stupid question, but I haven't found any youtube clips for this game that are Not edited/set-to-bad-'super-metal' (not that super metal is Bad...but when I want to see and hear some gameplay, it's kind of annoying). Any one with clips?

I've a problem with an M3 Perfect flashcard (miniSD); I used the DLDI version, patched, it runs fine, but on levele 12, as soon as the energy ball hits the wall, the game freezes =_='

Awesome game. I've played and beat all the regular levels. Some were aggravating as hell (particularly the last one) due to the funny physics (jumps are irregular, sometimes you slide, sometimes you have traction) but I stuck with it and got through. The difficulty is only a little easier than than real Portal. And the same goes for the quality. Portal loses points for being so short. I wouldn't say that about StillAliveDS, but of course Portal has that wicked engine you just could never have on a DS.

Here are the StillAliveDS Sources
You'll find the gfx of the game and the code (with *some* commentaries)

All the code is located in the main.c file (bad thing, I know
tongue.gif
) and the different librairies that were used in other files.

If you want to computerize the sources, you need to computerize GFXs (PAgfx.exe) before computerizing everything.

Have fun reading

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
