I just got my New 3DS back up and running, but it seems like the FBI app still isn't. Everything fails on it; nothing bad. It just doesn't do anything anymore. Do I just update it with my PC?

I updated to the newest version of the fbi, but its still not working. I tried running an update and it says:

Error:
Failed to check for update.
Result code: 0xD8A0A03C
Level: Permanent (27)
Summary: Invalid state (5)
Module: HTTP (40)
Desc: Failed to verify TLS certificate (60)

OK (Any button)

That's it. Sorry I keep bothering everyone; I just don't understand much of this stuff on my own.

you cannot install from github anymore. you need to download it manually on your computer, and place it on the SD then install it

Strange to ask; what if my 3DS doesn't have homebrew?
define Homebrew, people think that installing CFW is homebrew, wrong.

homebrew is very limited and only allows 3dsx apps to be ran, and most of them crash
and you cannot use FBI to install anything

so..... define your issue again?

FBI used to run perfectly on my New 3DS. I didn't realize I had to keep things updated like a phone or PC; and had not played my 3DS in months. Now FBI isn't running at all.

It's on the 3DS "desktop" if that's what you want to call it; but like I said, it doesn't work.
ok, get the 3dsx version of FBI https://github.com/Steveice10/FBI/releases/latest
place that in the 3ds folder on your 3ds sd card

now you will want to access homebrew launcher via Rosalina if you havnt done that before follow......
download the boot.3dsx from here, and place it on the root of your SD card then
https://github.com/fincs/new-hbmenu/releases/latest
and follow https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup to install all the base apps etc

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
