Im having a bit of trouble ripping a specific track from Nintendogs. Its track 000F and it shows as non playable in foobar, but when i play the SSEQ-->MIDI conversion that vgmtoolbox makes in a temp folder, it plays fine. Any help?

SSEQ is a sequenced format like midi so if the midi works for you then convert is conventionally.

That said the midi conversion options or many things leave a bit to be desired.

Option 2.
Emulate the game and loop back the audio. Nothing stopping you from modifying the sound file a bit either if it is a rare song within the game, or only plays with other sound effects, and there is no sound test you can use to rip it.

Which version of Nintendogs by the way? There are quite a few

I don't know if I will have the time or the desire to do this (though I am surprised vgmtoolbox failed as it is usually the best option, have you tried vgmtrans?) but I will need to know what version before going looking.

The best method I've seen for straight ripping/converting,
is running the rom through VGMTrans,
Find the Song, right click, and say "save as midi and sf2"
You can download the free version of SoundFount (sound font 1) and load up the files,
You'll be able to set a loop point if you want, (for shorter tracks)
Then just click "play to file" And you can save it as a wave file, or many other types.

It may not be 100% perfect sounding, but I can't tell.
And it about as good as you can get without recording straight from the game.
