Hello. So I'm trying to send Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga to my External Hard Drive for my Modded XBox 360. However the game is over 7 GB meaning it's over the 7 GB transfer limit because it's FAT32 Format. Such a limit to my knowledge is not present if formatted to any other Format Type. However, if my External is in any other format other than FAT32, it won't recognize the external. And it won't unless it's FAT32. I've tried everything. I've even tried to use 7-Zip and WinRar to break the file down into smaller parts to send to the External in bits and then extract it on the External and nothing is working. Any advice to get this to work?

That Sounds Odd every modded x360 should accept ntfs Format (i dont know about badusb modded ones) maybe you could try fatxplorer to Format the hdd

I use iso2god to convert my iso files anyways and that makes it so I can just copy over the stuff on fat32 usb sticks if I want (I use ftp instead).

FATXplorer is the answer. You connect the hard drive to the computer and transfer whatever you want quickly.

This is incorrect - It requires FATX or FAT32 sadly - 360 will not recognise ntfs at all

You should be using at least FATX (FAT32 is not the same thing, FATX is what the Xbox formats it as, see https://free60.org/System-Software/Systems/FATX/).

Anyways if you extract the XISOs with like https://github.com/alex-free/extract-xiso you won’t have this problem because all file sizes will not be too big. Then move the folder over with FTP if you have a good internet connection or a usb drive if you have a bad one
FTP doesnt rely on internet to operate - it simply needs a decent router. Never ceases to amaze me how many people comment on something they know nothing about. FTP is limited on 360 due to the speed on the lan card which is 10/100 so you are limited to about 10-12mbps transfer speed. Usb will be quicker. You need to extract the ISO so the game data can be copied into a respective folder. Then transfer onto the hdd and it will show in aurora etc

Yea I meant LAN, I have a terrible uplink to my router and using a USB drive is faster…

The issue comes from the fact that Xbox 360 games are designed with FAT32 in mind, and the ISO itself is just one large file, which obviously exceeds the 7 GB FAT32 limit. The trick is to extract the ISO so that you have the game as a folder with all its internal files. Tools like extract-iso can do this. Once you have the game in folder format, you can transfer it to your FAT32 external drive without any problems. The Xbox 360 will recognize the game normally once it’s on the drive in this structure.

*FATX but yes to everything else.

On your PC convert ISO's to GOD format using iso2GOD.

Use the FATX program on PC to load up your HDD.

For me this has been the fastest and easiest way.

Actually, extract-iso is much faster in most cases. ISO2GOD works fine for certain titles, but it’s not particularly fast. You also don’t need anything special regarding the hard drive—I use an external FAT32 drive and everything works perfectly.

Oh nice, I'll give that a shot. I managed to do the RGH3 mod to my trinity last week so new to the 360 scene. Still a lot to learn.

I was using a USB stick to transfer games and that was cumbersome lol.

If you’ve done the RGH3 mod, you already have solid skills and knowledge—I personally wouldn’t dare attempt that yet, even with experience. I recently freed my console using BadUpdate, which changes things up a bit.
