something tells me it'll need to be a new CD. Not that I mind though, because the first thing I'm doing when buying a Wii is modding the little thing and buying Brawl.

Im glad you like the video

Cloud Strife getting Ike's Final Smash is perfect, because it looks like Omni Slash

Actually, there IS a tutorial as to how to do this, but it's not exactly a walk in the park
tongue.gif

You can find it here:http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=175765

Also note that it doesn't have enough information for you to correctly do quite a few characters, such as Link, Mario, Marth, Toon Link etc.

I'm pretty sure that after +2 textures are figured out the tutorial will be updated though.

Anyways, thanks to everyone again for all the positive comments. It's been a lot of fun

As soon as Ghosteo wakes up, he is doing the finishing touches on a certain texture before he leaves. So for all you Bowser fans, stay tuned

So wait, is it actually just using those tools to pull it out and then inject them back in? o.o;;
I wish there was a full guide on how to do it. I would really like to try out a few skins =3

So, to summarize, you are asking if what we did was use tools to extract textures, edit them, and insert them back in
tongue.gif
?

uuuh....yes, yes that is "just" doing that
tongue.gif
.

The guide that I linked to is sufficient for easy characters, and I'm sure it will be updated after the +2 textures are figured out. You will need to know the basics of hex editing, trucha signer, the tools recommended, AND artistry to do this successfully. Also of note is that the harder characters are, of course, far more complicated than this. That is why Ghosteo and I teamed up. I do the computer side of things, he does the artistry.

That link should be up soon...

Ahhh, okay. Also, with that trucha signer, it requires that one .bin file, does that come from the ISO that you backup/copy/etc.? I don't have my Wii just yet, but I'm (going to try) getting one in a couple weeks here and will be getting the Wiinja with it so I can run this stuff.

Well, when the bigger guide gets up then, I'm sure many more questions will be answered xD
can't wait to see more work!

New video: Wander (Shadow Of The Colossus) VS Serge (Chrono Cross)

You have to remember: we can't change models.

The cape, unfortunately, is just a solid color, with a single texture for the symbol in the middle. So we couldn't reproduce the ENTIRE cape. But we could do his arms, his sandels, his hair, the symbol on his back, etc. etc.

I think for the limitations we have its a pretty faithful reproduction

Oh hell yeah, and so are the other models

Great work

Our second artist Cryos just finished Olimar's best friend. Well he WAS his best friend until he got lost on the planet in the second pikmin. What was he thinking...

Things are going to slow down now...Cryos isn't doing any more for today, and Ghosteo starts his vacation. Ghosteo is sending me one more before he leaves, and I still have two that are fully edited, but can't be inserted without being able to us +2 textures.

So if Ghosteo comes back first or +2 textures are figured out, expect big updates

Adol Christin from Ys would've been perfect for a Marth mod. Just a thought, It came to me while I was playing Ark of Napishtim 5 min ago...

You probably didnt notice it. After the first sentence you probably stopped reading, assuming it was a request.

Well, I think I may have found something relating to the RGB5A3 palettes. I don't know if it actually means anything yet. Anyway, the original images onlt have a 205 color palette with one of those being transparency. However after saving it automatically changes that to a 256 color palette with no transparency.

At this point I'm not sure if it's a problem or just a general limitation of the .tga format which would apply to all textures, including the ones made by Nintendo.
