It may have been Nintendo, or it may have been hoax because Nintendo didn't shut the other sites down...which is weird.

I would do it if I knew hex, and have some artistic skill.

Sadly I lack both, with only imagination to keeps me going. XD

Nothing really, I suppose Nintendo just felt like being stupid.

That or they thought ]EE[ might make something like naked Peach, and get them into some trouble? You never know.

Nintendo probably thought that ]EE[ was goig to release an iso with all the textures already on it. Because they were'nt, i dont know what the fuck the Big N's problem was.

Doesn't anyone besides the original developers have them?

Well, the project was breaking copyright laws. The reason I think it was shutdown however, because of the inevitability of a naked patch. Once somebody on the news caught wind of that, the big N would be in huge trouble.

Like I said, Stack Smash has them ALL, but they said they got permission from ]EE[ to edit them, so who knows if they'll ever release or re-release them. Here's a quote from CaptainJim

Theres a torrent out on Bay of Pirates that has all the official textures in .tga format. Go find it and make some textures and release it!
