Maybe they're trying to fool the leechers so that they can download it faster

A guy who claims to be the uploader says it's a fake but even that sounds fishy...

follow his link to tpb and you'll see a lot more and others confirming that it is SSBB but in Japanese.

Hmm... This is very odd...
Anyone want to bite the bullet with their super connection and download it?

doesn't seem to be anything fishy about it. if the uploader willingly admits that it's fake, then simply DON'T download it. it's not like something drastically wrong will occur in your life if you don't have it on your computer.

We have people from Europe who can do this stuff though, so we should have someone creating a patch for us brits.

I really can't wait to get the US version, the Japanese one is pissing me off right now as it doesn't seem to be connecting to my friends US copy.

The thing that sounded fishy to me was the fact that less than an hour after uploading over 7gb he decided the hoax was a bad idea and he'd already left his house and found a computer with an internet connection so he could log on and confess...
That must have been the shortest lived hoax ever.

I'm sure all the big uploaders are still working on trying to get this to work safely on NTSC Wii's with Japanese firmware before uploading it. We all know they work hard to only put up things that run well, so just give them some time.

the dupe channels will definitely be a problem on a pal Wii, obviously there won't be a dupe channel on a usa wii as the game is from the usa too.
Why is that a given?

With SMG USA all it took was to regionfrii one copy, let the update run till 15%, then play with a regionfriid and brickblocked copy. No duplicates at all...

Maybe i'm missing something here, please fill me in.

Hey everyone - just got out of rehearsal. I saw a few questions as I read through the pages, but if anyone still has any, please IM me on AIM (Degrees of Grey) and I will answer them, then post answers here. Thank you!

Why is that a problem? Just drag them to the last page. I already have SMG dupe channels and they don't bother me.

i don't want to risk breaking my Wii by pulling the mains plug out while it's updating, i would rather apply a patch to the iso that will stop the firmware from updating completely.

i was just saying that the a usa wii will not have dupe channels but the pal wii will.

I hope it will work on PAL without the update and without the errors, because I have only one DL disc and it's waiting for Brawl, and DL discs cost ALOT in Israel

Trust a jew to complain about the price of blank media...
I doubt you'll be buying the game.

Very classy.

@Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
