@matpower, AuReiNand seems like the choice for you. As for reboot patches for O3DS I will have to test. I have a N3DS as well so I can be more understanding of that feature for the owner of only a O3DS. Your points are all valid and for the individual user the features you have outlined as pro AuReiNand cannot be ignored. The community I feel benefits either way as AuReiNands mod of ReiNand has undoubtedly added features Rei may very well all to ReiNand (Reboot/FIRM protections most likely, the loader feature is the big thing I think Rei would not really consider as other apps already give this function.

Edit: 1 thing I do see as a pro for AuReiNand. I just played a GBA game and if I do not hold start to boot back into sysNAND when exiting the GBA title it does not save if it reboots into emuNAND. If you play alot of GBA AuReiNand is better equipped to handle that function.

now i can 100% migrate from gateway to cfw
i want to use the simple cfw so i choose ReiNand over rxtool because simplicity

but one problem for is that before ReiNand not support region free cia
some of my japanese game icons disappeared when i load to ReiNand emunand

now ReiNand emunand work perfectly with all my games installed, Great!!

btw AuReiNAND, ReiNand and now Cosmo3DS, which one suit for me? why so many. make me confused but i will strict with original ReiNand

@Reisyukaku games that require the extra ram on o3DS seem to not work on this latest build. tested on both 2DS and o3DS with MHX and Smash4. n3DS seems to work fine.

It's probably the reboot patch, can you try playing a DS/GBA/DSiWare game?
If it works, then yeah, it's outdated reboot patches.
Rei would need to update to the ones AuReiNAND is using.

I was discussing the good and bad of AuReiNand earlier with @matpower. Using updatedsysnand is a cool feature for AuReiNand as it takes the GBA save issue when exiting the GBA game and renders it mute. However the arm9select style loader is not really necessary as it requires 2 buttons to be held to load a A9LH payload when arm9select already does it more efficiently with only 1 button. @Reisyukaku's apporach I feel is good as it stays in line with it is best to leave sysNAND as vanilla as possible and once FIRM0/FIRM1 protections are added it is a excellent approach to minimalistic CFW which is what AuReiNand started as. AuReiNand is an excellent CFW and I would probably still be using it had @Aurora Wright not merged the loader, emunand and reboot files all into the main arm9loaderhax.bin. I opted to delete the loader.bin and use arm9select and this approach pretty much forced the user to adopt the loader of AuReiNand.

I have attached the new direct to sysnand payload mod by @Rohul1997 for ReiNand Official V3.5

It will allow sysnand users to boot directly into patched sysnand (with firm launch to 10.4) with the option of holding a button to load emunand

There are 4 versions and covers both N3DS & O3DS

(remember there is no firm0/firm1 protection in sysnand atm with ReiNand but we may see it soon, once the master @Reisyukaku has some free time)

I ask only because once I had updated to ReiNand 3.5 I was unable to menuhax launch GW mode like I could with AuReiNand. I know this is set to become obsolete once GW releases the A9LH payload, but other non-A9LH homebrew only run from a 9.0-9.2 environment.

No disrespect intended. Just users discussing options for a solution. ReiNand we realize is focused on emuNAND (I am a emuNAND user), however there are alot of updatedsysnand users who would like to get in on the ReiNand. GBA saving is another small problem in ReiNand. Not that is doesn't work but if you do not pay attention and you put alot of effort into a gba game and forget to reboot back into sysNAND you will lose your save and that would suck. We all appreciate @Reisyukaku's CFW, but that should not stop anyone from pointing out small bugs or possible oversights that @Reisyukaku can weigh in on and decide to implement or not.

I know alot of my post discuss other CFW and their features. My aim is only awareness for users who like me want to use ReiNand. I do not want to add a bunch of features to ReiNand. @Reisyukaku is looking into adding the FIRM0/FIRM1 protections. My only real point I want to make Rei aware of is the GBA saving thing. Aurora Wright addressed this in her way in AuReiNand. @Reisyukaku may post here later saying he has no desire to support reboot back to sysNAND after exiting a GBA game. I respect that. Awareness is the aim not feature demands. I trust the dev and his approach.

huh? i play pokemon every day at work and never had save issues and i dont touch sysnand or nasty reboot patches
