Homebrew RELEASE Sonic CD (yes, another one)

Only downside on usineurs version is that the game can't be exited from the menu selecting "Exit Game". heyjoeways version exits very nicely.
I'm confused which one to get. The OP also claims that the 'water palettes are screwed up' on the usineurs version, can someone provide an image of this issue so we can check ?

As far as I can see there's no difference on the water palette.

I attempted to time travel in Collison chaos (tried both acts) with my steam provided copy of the game being used for the port and it results in a softlock that i need to force a shutdown on my switch to get out of, it plays the time travel animation but then freezes at a white screen.

"Water Palette" is referring to Zone 3 where you can actually go underwater, and everything should take on a different tint underwater than above due to the palette changes.

Left: usineur's version ----------------------- Right: heyjoeway's version.

I didn't see much difference in the underwater palette.

Dear god the aspect ratio correction! :P

Yeah I don't see much difference either... but that's the only "water palette" in the game... might have to check all timezones though as the water color changes.

Based just on the screenshots posted so far, I like heyjoe's version better

are there any other real differences? what are all the differences, and which one is really better

Honesty at this point I am wondering why no one is doing a full decompilation of the Sega CD version, surely it cannot be worse that doing so for a Nintendo 64 game, right?

Probably lack of interest, especially considering plenty of Sonic CD options already exist, especially based on the completely-better 2011 version.

why bother with the Sega CD version when the better-in-every-way 2011 version exists? this is a serious, non-rhetorical question

To be able to do whatever the hell you want with the game code? Like people have been doing for ages with the Sega Genesis Sonic games?

Is it possible to fix the grey block on the title screen and enable devmenu for mods?
I'm aware it's related to settings.ini but I don't know what's the default config for the switch port.
dragging my settings.ini from PC will zoom in super far on switch.
