My xbox got red ringed, and I bought another. This doesn't include any chords/games/controllers...just the broken console. Which has red ringed once before idk if it can be fixed. Call me at XXX-XXX-XXXX

would it be worth it to pick this up? can it be fixed easily? thanks.

EDIT: Also someone else local is giving away 2 PSPs and 360 games to "people in need"...I wonder how needy I could sound

giving away? as in giving for free? i dont see any reason not to pick it up. if it can get repaired you get a 360, if it doesnt you can still sell on ebay for some money

depends on how bad it is rrod
some boxes take very little effort to get working and will keep working
while others are as stubborn as a mule

anyway its probably gonna need a reflow

Hey, OK. I guess it couldn't hurt.

I emailed the guy but he hasn't got back yet - he did say to call him though. I might try that.

And if I DO claim it, be assured that I'll be trying to fix it.

Is my xbox like the lucky one? I've had it for like 3 years and it's never red ringed.
that really depends how much and how long you use it at a time
it happens over a long period a time due to constant stress (heat) mainly from the gpu

My first xbox (2007) red ringed after 6 months... but that was with some intense gaming. 5+ hours a night in hot Florida weather.
