I have about 91 games on a WBFS formatted HDD and am using USB loader GX (using neogamma and wiiflow doesn't help). Most of them load fine but a handful return me to the wii menu after a moment of trying to load. They work fine on a friends wii so it's not the rips. Also these titles do not play the disc/background music when selecting them from the menu on USB Loader GX but working games always do.

Recent games that do not work are:

Last Story (PAL)
Pikimin 2 (NTSC-U)
Rhythm Heaven Fever (NTSC-U)

Here is my SysCheck:

sysCheck v2.1.0b18 by Double_A and R2-D2199
...runs on IOS58 (rev 6176).

Region: NTSC-U
System Menu 4.2U (v481)
Priiloader installed
Drive date: Unknown
Homebrew Channel 1.1.0 running on IOS58
Hollywood v0x21
Boot2 v4
Found 176 titles.

I have no idea really. Just guessing here.

My guess it that they are games the reload ios's. Try to block reloading ioss or have it ask you when it wants to reload.

I see your cIOS 245 through 251 have mixed rev of d2x v6 and v8 and redundant bases,
what I recommend is to install d2x v8 final pack or even better d2x v9beta pack (with all bases in slots 245>>251 for completion sake) though d2xv9beta base 56/57 in slots 249/250 might solve your issue.

Did this today but still no luck. I'm guessing this has to be an odd issue with my HDD possibly? I'm out of ideas. Maybe I'll buy the NTSC version of Last Story when its released and that may possibly work. Thats what I care about most.

Try forcing the video to NTSC (also try other options) on Last Story, this may help.

v9 causes me issues so I still use v8final (56) for most games, check your settings in GX (what version are you running), make sure emu nand (if you use it) is turned off for any problematic games.

If they work on a friends wii and not yours check what settings he has for the games you cannot play (inc the cios) HDD will not cause the issue you mentioned it is something else

I'll try to go back to v8. I have tried forcing NTSC, and PAL60 (my tv supports this). The strange thing is that the banner image and music don't even play on these specific games when selecting them. I have had other games that black screen etc, that are fixable through configuration (im on USBLGX 3.0 btw) but they always play the banner/music. This sounds like it would be a bad rip but again, this doesn't happen when I tested this on a friends wii. Also WBFS manager does not say it is currupt in any way. I will hopefully be able to double check his set up sometime soon. Thanks for the help!

I am having exactly the same problem on a fresh softmod install from the guide at wiihacks. Did you find a solution?

What format is your HDD? Mine is ext3. I wonder if these games need a FAT32 partition?
