Hello
So yea, I just downloaded few games for Cemu (wont say where)
But some of them wont show up in Cemu, and when I load them, it says the xml is invalid
Is there something i forgot to do or anything?
Thanks

meta.xml is part of indexing. it's in the meta folder of an installed game. I've never used cemu, but I do know the meta.xml. I don't know about invalid one, but if something is wrong with any meta file, even the icon, the game won't boot on the actual wii u. it will show a question mark tile with three question marks for game name. this happened to me when I was changing the haxchi icon without realizing the icon had to be saved with certain settings, which I recorded here:

Correct save settings for tga files?

Well, I just realised something
The two games that Cemu is capable of loading have three folders at the root
code content meta
While those who dont have two
install wiiu

Does that mean I need to convert them or do somethign else to make them like the others?

From what I read on google if you're missing the meta.xml your download is no good and you will need to try another. Maybe you're just using a bad site for these games.

meta is important. game won't load on the actual wii u without it, so if cemu is emulating the wii u, it's not surprising that it doesn't load the game.

the site i use is trustable
also, I never said i was missing meta.xml ;)

That what are you missing you just said you're missing a folder on those two games. That's obviously the reason they're not working it's not a coincidence.

Then the meta.xml in those games are bad. You still need another download. There no magic fix.

Here are some examples of paths
one of the game that dont work :
Super Mario Paper Color Splash\[WIIU] Paper Mario Color Splash\wiiu\apps\wupinstaller_mod
one that do work
The Legend Of Zelda - Twilight Princess HD [AZAE01]\meta

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

but meta.xml is present in both cases

this is what a normal meta folder looks like. do you have these files in the meta folder?

one thing I see is that you included the serial number. the serial number is all four of the product code and last two of the company code. you can find both in meta.xml. loadiine won't run games without that as well.

If all the files are there why not try renaming the folders to match like the game that works. Otherwise you need another download.

wiiu\apps\wupinstaller_mod is likely not a path Cemu is going to read correctly.

the part in the brackets is what I'm referring to. sometimes the serial number is referred to as product id. it's not the same as the content id, but I think they're related. I noticed that with a wii game I was changing the region of a save for for someone on temp. the content id was in hex which translated to the product id in ascii (text field).

alright i see
Is there a way to convert my version of the game to a version loadiine/Cemu can read?

Yes, like I just said rename the folders to match the working game. You know how to rename a folder right? Right click on the folder and rename. Move the files to match as needed. it's really not difficult.

I can't remember the app to make code, content, and meta. there's also sys for updates, but the app deletes it. what folders does the non working game have? you can get product id from the meta.xml.
