Hacking Some E-shop titles not working on Emunand 3DS

Hi.

Am I the only one that has the Youtube app and Legend of Zelda: 4 swords (free until Feb 2nd) not working on the emunand?

Youtube app goes to the 3DS loading screen (that one with the 3D effect) forever. 4 Swords goes to black while the 3DS menu music fades away.

Some other titles (3DS games Demos) work well, but these 2 do not.

Obiously no e-shop title works on real nand because of the firmware, it asks to download the software again.

Any one has these problems too?

4 swords is DSiware -> doesn't run on emu (edit: DSiware in general doesn't run on emuNAND).

youtube (edit: US version only ATM) got the new 7.0 encryption (first program to have it) -> doesn't work on emu.

will any of those ever work on emu? nobody knows.

they introduced a new key in 7.0 (kinda like the new 6.0 savegame encryption key) which doesn't get initialized correctly when you load an older firmware first (like in the case of loading 4.x to load emu 7.1). and for now youtube is the only program to use it (perhaps/likely as a "look what we can do, pirate scum!" tease).

If they will use it for other programs (including games) in the future... nobody can say for sure now, but it would be unlikely for them to introduce that new key without using it.

The 7.0 SDK supports encrypting game files using a special key that only exists on 7.0 3DSes. It's likely to hinder playing those apps and games on 4.5 for quite some time. It's just that no games have appeared that are built with 7+ yet.

It will also hinder the ability to play cartridge-based games that use this method. Get ready for an un-playable Super Smash Bros.

I bet they include it for Pokemon Bank, does it work in Japanese Emunand 3DS's?

Anyway, i think I should do the nand hardware writing mod, just for covering my ass.
