Buy a pair of plug socket Ethernet adaptors, you can have Ethernet access where ever a wall socket is.
Can you show me an example of one? I'm wondering if I can even get internet access from just about any room in this apartment, since only ONE room can get internet through it's wall phone jack.
Let me know how the Ethernet solution works with the Wii U!

You just plug one in next to the router with a Ethernet cable, then the other you plug in what ever wall socket in what ever room and gives you an Ethernet socket in any room from a wall socket.

You can buy big ones that give you 3 ports instead of one and stuff.

@mech Oh wow, never seen such technology. I'll definitely consider using one of these. Let me know if the ethernet to USB adapter + powerline adapters work for your Wii U, it can be one of the only ways of actually disconnecting your system from the internet.

Had it setup last night and works fine, input tubehax dns in and removed the wifi connection.

Awesome! Glad there's a way to stop internet access to the Wii U somehow. It won't stop internet access + downloads when you first connect to the internet the first few seconds, but it's enough time for it not to completely download and you can even check download management at least once every time you use your console to see if any progress was made. But this would only be necessary to check if tubehax were to stop functioning one day. For now, it blocks good and disconnecting the internet is a good layer of protection.

I might try a different strategy myself. I'll use mac filtering + restart router once I've done the exploit. This should "kick" my system offline.
My other idea is just to simply change the SSID after I've done the exploit. That way it's no longer connected to the router. Both these methods require you to be respectful to those around you who are using wifi. But since everyone in my home just uses simple stuff like facebook every now and then, I won't really be disturbing anyone much. It'll be a quick shock then done.

I'll also use the USB to ethernet adapter solution whenever I'm in the room with the router. Then maybe later on I'll buy the TP Link powerline adapters, they're also sold on Amazon. I can't see a place for me to plug that box into, I'll need more sockets in my case.

They also do a socket adaptor that has a plug socket on the front so you can plug the router power plug into it without loosing a socket :P
