You should of asked this in your original topic lol but yep it sure does and you get all the cutscenes you would in the main game together as the "story" areas have to be triggered together it really is a game ment to be played co-op!

What if both players are in different parts of the story though?
 
If you are at the same point - progress normally

If you are behind the hosts story - no progression for your story (though you can still watch the events and stuff)

If you are ahead of the host - you can skip scenes and wander around waiting for the host to be done watching the scene, and eventually they will catch up with you and the story will progress normally. (Also, warps are locked until the person who is behind catches up and can actually go to the area)
