Now to fix this problem with extended memory games not booting up you could go to the troubleshooting tab on the 3ds hack guide. But this worked for me as well.

Steps to succes:
1. Delete the game(s) that have the booting problem, that means an error message or when the system reboots.
2. Download the game(s) you just uninstalled VIA the Hshop on your pc or system itself.
3. When the game(s) are installed, MAKE SURE to not open the game(s)! If you have, follow step 1/2 again to avoid it not working. First go to the Hshop on your system, not your pc, and download the update version(s) of the game(s). Now the game(s) will be updated and your games will have no problem booting up. Now go open the games :yay3ds:.
4. If this does not work some how, go to the troubleshooting tab on 3ds hack guide, can't share the link but the tab is there called: "Section VI - Fixing locale-related issues".

Other than successfully wiping someone's save file by doing something which seems rather stupid like this. None of this even remotely seems viable when the errors are likely to be something very different.

You can't wipe save files like this, because if you got an error or reboot problem you havent even played the game(s) yet. And maybe the errors are something different, but it works for me, might as well for others.
